I remember seeing a spot for this on TV ... I think it was a major brand, because I remember the commercial had its typical budget heavy, overly produced look. Some chick at a club brushing her teeth. I searched the major companies websites (Crest, Colgate, Oral-B) and didn't see anything.

Who makes it? I could really use one at the office after lunch, I'm anal about my teeth tasting fresh ... wow, that sounded **** up.

Yeah, they are disposable, and really not worth it IMO, both cost wise as well as effectiveness, I tried one once before cause I got a free sample, I was not impressed, i'll stick with my travel toothbrush and toothpaste in my purse.

Guess I need a man-purse then. Any ideas?

Well since you mentioned it being after your lunch at the office just put a toothbrush and toothpaste in a desk drawer at work? won't help for weekends of course, but that's 5 out of 7 days covered.

Yea, I think I'm going to end up doing that. What I haven't said, however, is the tap water around here doesn't come from a utility. It comes from our own treatment plant which feeds directly from the river outside, and while it meets all code and standard regulation, the plant personnel insist on bringing jugs of Water Guy jug coolers (that cost us tons of money) every week.

Hence the need for a waterless brush. Guess I'll have to supply my own water too, since the coolers are constantly drained.

I love them... but would not use them regularly. I just keep one in my car, my purse, my chef bag, wherever. I do keep a regular toothbrush and toothpaste in my purse, but I often don't carry it, or have taken them out for some reason. Or a friend needs a brush. It's a backup plan.

I used to have a friend whose dad was a dentist and he had these nifty little dot thingies. It was a small round thing with adhesive on the back and you stuck it to the pad of your finger. It had texture and toothpaste on the front so you could essentially brush your teeth with your finger. Completely disposable and small enough to stick several in your wallet.

Well in all honesty properly treated tap water is better for you than bottled water, especially your teeth because tap water is usually fluoridated, also tap water is regluated, bottled water isn't, they just suck up water out of a river, pop it in a bottle and it sits on shelves for months, or the purifiy which still isn't as healthy.

Our water treatment problem has had historical problems. There is a new inonics skid in which reduces water turbidity, but the water is still a bit ... off.

When I was renting in Decatur (GA) the tap water was horrible. It might have met code, but the smell along made it undrinkable (and I am not picky about things in general).

As for the problem, I keep a tooth brush, paste and (B)listerine (as my wife calls it) in my desk drawer for bad lunches. Fortunately we have a RO (reverse osmosis) water and ice machine in our break-room. =)
