I barely know what to say.

Perhaps her words to me when my brother-in-law died would be appropriate here:

Amdee wrote:
Oh my. So much to deal with and so little I can say. My thoughts and prayers are w/ you. Spreading around the strength, as it were. Be well.

Thanks 'Dee. You'll be missed.

So sorry Kaffis.

Kaffis,

I am glad to know that she knew such love from you over the last number of months . 'Dee had touched a lot of people here as friends in many ways. I don't think words can express how sad I am at the moment. She will be missed , more than you know.

She was special and helped make The Glade a special place. Thank you for sharing with us. She will be missed.

I too am at a loss for words, and like Foamy, I'll leave it as she said it when Nitefox and I were grieving and asked for prayers:

Done. Take care. Words seem so weak.

Praying for you Kaffis. I'm so sorry.

Vindi, thanks for the top of page pic. Is that..? It reminds me of the one pic she posted back in the day that was really her (as opposed to the one of Dee Dee under the wing of the plane she liked to claim was her..) that was an extreme close-up of her eye. Yours made me do a double-take.

Amdee with Virginia Hey (of her classic sig fame!) at Dragon*Con 2009. We also got a signed Blu-Ray of Mad Max that I delivered her engagement ring in later that night.

While on the Walk of Fame there, as we walked by Dean Haglund, he complimented Amdee on the shirt -- he's a huge Ramones fan, like his well-known character, Langly, from the X-Files' Lone Gunmen. We stopped and chatted for 10-15 minutes. It was awesome, and Amdee was absolutely delighted to listen to the cool exchanges Joey and Dean's mutual fandom of each other lead to. I've never seen anybody's eyes light up like hers could.. *sigh*

As others have stated sometimes words just don't seem to be enough to be able to express our thoughts or emotions. She will live on in the hearts and memories of those who knew her.

I never met her, but I am so emotionally obliterated that she is gone, she was an amazing person. I'm sorry for your loss K, let me know if there's anything that I can do.

It's not me, but I did think of that pic she posted and thought it was appropriate. I'm glad you did too. I've had some time to absorb this now, and should be able to express my feelings, but still can't. If she didn't know how we all felt about her before, she does now.

Been away but lurking for a while, and once I saw this post I had to post.

I am sorry for your loss and wish you the best in your time of need.

Wow. I don't know what to say. And even if I did, I'm not sure the words would help. I'm deeply sorry for your loss. Just know that you have many friends here at the glade, and any of us would be happy to lend an ear or even a shoulder to cry on, should the need arise.

Goodbye, 'Dee. You will be sorely missed.

I'm so sorry Kaffis, I had never made the connection, although I knew she was loved.

Amdee is one of my first memories of the Glade.

Not sure how she felt about me bur she did dress me down a time or two.

She caught my imagination and will be sorely missed.

I am so so sorry for your loss, Kaffis. I don't even know what to say. I only barely knew her here, from the Glade, and only spoke with her sparingly, but every time I did she always made me smile.

For those of you who knew her better, and interacted more, I can only immagine the joy she must have brought to your lives.

My prayers are with you.
