WHY is there no Highlander app? you'd get a buzz when another 'immortal' is near.
your combat could be deferred if one of you choses to go to holy ground (via google maps, easily identifiable)
would be so cool...

No, Rock Paper Scissors doesn't have any way to take into account previous power absorbed via Quickenings.

What if it's a swordfighting game ("played" via accelerometer a la any number of lightsaber apps) that is played on the iPhone, and it keeps track of how many games you've won and weights your "skill" (or at least your hit rolls) accordingly?

We're developing an app now for our TV network, and if I thought we could get the rights to use the Highlander IP, I'd ask the developers to put together a budget and see what we'd be looking at for a development price. :D

Yeah, I could see that app resulting in a number of iPhones needing replacement for having been accidentally flung thirty feet into a wall or something.

they could do this...

Have the devices 'talk' to eachother. It scans in each person you encounter's "highlander" rating. From there it determines who wins via rock paper scissors. If you win.. the fallen combatants stats are added to your own.

And so no one needs to waste money on an app if they lose... if you lose you get "reincarnated" back to level 0 and start over with a new character.

I think Bluetooth is the Highlander app on my phone. I don't use bluetooth, but when I'm near someone else that has bluetooth on their phone, I get a blue icon. It's kinda like being near another immortal. <3
