I hope you folks back East aren't having/don't have too many troubles with this:

Quote:
Snow is falling heavily in Indianapolis, Columbus, Altoona and Washington and continues to track toward Cleveland, Philadelphia, Atlantic City and New York City. Wet roads at the onset of the storm will quickly transform to a slushy and snow covered nightmare. While a large part of the Midwest will receive enough snow to slow travel and foil plans, portions of the mid-Atlantic could be shut down this weekend, where a couple of feet of snow falls into Saturday. Travel on the ground will become impossible in some locations due to snowfall rates up to 3 inches per hour and the heavy, wet snowstorm transforms into a raging coastal blizzard.

All we've been hearing about all week.

I am leaving work in 45 minutes and can't wait to get the wife and son home with me so we can hunker down and have a nice snowed in weekend.

Of course, late Sat. or early Sun. are going to suck when I have to shovel out our cars.

BLAH. I like the snowing, but I hate the snow.

It hasn't hit Cleveland yet. Hopefully won't in the next 2 hours. I need to go exercise still today.

It's coming down thick and furious here in Dayton.

Fortunately my wife got home before it started snowing too hard. She is a very nervous snow driver. Unfortunately, it didn't wait for me to go exercise.

Time to build a snow man.

I've not seen so much as a single flake up this way. Looking at the weather leads me to believe we won't see much where I live.

It was pretty slick this morning, but cleared up by mid-afternoon, in SW Iowa.

I missed Pre-Calc, Biology, and Biology lab. >_<

Drove out of Pittsburgh North about 7:30 PM and it was bad. 8 inches now in SW PA, glad I made it.

Meh....that's a dusting for Pittsburgh ( I'm from Pitts. btw) :D Here in Cherry Hill NJ, I would say about 10 - 12 inches so far looking out the window. We just adopted a 7 month old Chihuahua pup last week. Guess who's getting introduced to snow later :-)

Did you guys catch it bad on your side of town? We caught about 3 inches on the Eastside.

I think we ended up getting about 5 inches; that's how deep it seemed when I was shovelling my wife out this morning. We'll probably only use her car until it melts or gets plowed a bit. My truck doesn't have 4-wheel drive so its awful in the snow.

One of the dumbest things I ever did. At the time I was in Texas and I was thinking "why do I need 4WD; I'm not going off-roading?" and saved some money getting 2WD pickup.

Ever since I moved back to Ohio I've been kicking myself.

Had to dig out about 10 inches plus what those darned plows brought. Not counting the deal the little old lady drove to borrow her snow shovel.

She made you dig her out to borrow a snow shovel?

Only about 5 inches in northeasternish PA. Light stuff, too, which made shoveling it not too bad. Still took me well over half an hour, but it could've been much much worse. :p

Now I hear there's another storm due around Wednesday, though... We shall see!

We got pretty damn near 2 ft.

Lots of fun digging out.

Forecast is calling for more snow on Wed. Hope it's not for much.

I don't know how much we got, too much blowing around. Did have a nice drift in front of my house when I got home though.

I shoveled out, but didn't clear off my car yet. I had a meeting (IM conference) all day and then ran out of daylight.

Baltimore got about 30 inches or so. I drove to Philly last night and went snowboarding today about 100 miles north. They got about 1 inches. The **** irony.

"1 inches," or should that be 10? Seems like it would be hard to snowboard on 1 inch of snow, unless they make it.

I just read that DC has gotten 32 inches of snow in the last two days. Holy crap. Isn't Timmit around there, still? When I was there back in the 80s, 6 inches shut the place down for three days. Can't imagine what this amount is going to do.

We did have nearly 4" of rain in some parts of L.A. today. Lost electricity for about 6 hours after a mudslide up the road brought a tree down on a power line.

1 inch, I was beat last night where I couldn't type or read very well. Lots of their snow is artificial because they simply don't get consistent enough snow like further up NE (Vermont, Maine etc.) I was hoping for at least a 10-12" lair of powder, but it was just hardpacked crap.

I haven't driven back to Baitlmore yet, but my friends were saying the snow was up to the hoods of their cars.

lets see some pics! Southern and Northern Ontario are both having pretty tame winters by past standards. There's barely any snow here at all.
