Ok, since we are on a new board, we need a new college football thread.

I'm going to my first K-State football game since '99 on Saturday and I am so excited. Some friends and I are going to do some tailgating. We are going to take a generator, TV, and XBox 360 and play some NCAA Football 10 while we tailgate and cook burgers and brauts. The there are fireworks after the game. Its really going to be a blast. :D :D

Yeah, when you have Ohio State coming to your defense you know you are in trouble.

I hate to say it but the two schools kind of need each other. You ask anyone outside of the hard core fans to name schools from the big ten and they will say, Ohio St., Michigan then stop to think. If Michigan is weak, it brings down the conference over all. If both teams look like world beaters, it is good. If one of them is only going 3-9 it doesn't help at all.

A friend is taking me to a UW game this year. Against USC. At least I can drink to have a good time.

Bet a bunch of money on USC. That way, if the Huskies win, you'll be happy, and if the Trojan's win, you'll still be happy!

Did pretty good this past weekend. I wish I could say the same for my Wildcats. Our QB has the timing of a cheap watch.

Ya know, I have been impressed after watching them the last two weeks. That being said, I dont' think ND is a good as everyone thought. Time will tell.

As will time with UCLA - their QB got his jaw broke against Tennessee, will be out for three or four weeks. Bummer, they were looking good.

I think you should beat K-State this weekend though. Our defense is pretty good, but our offense is real shakey. Our QB is having real problems hitting our recievers. Its really hard to move the ball when teams know you can't pass. I'm expecting something along the lines of a 24-10 victory for UCLA, with UCLA's points coming mostly off special teams and turnovers.

Huh, that's right, I forgot there's a Kansas State fan around here. Interesting analysis, should be fun to see how it comes out. I think they're going with another frosh QB or something; they really don't want to go with the guy from last year who threw a record number of interceptions.

I really feel for UCLA about Prince. Tennessee (2009) is like a mirror image of UCLA (2008). Kiffin's in his first year at the school, and Neuheisel was in his first season last year. Crompton's already thrown 5 picks through 2 games for us; Craft threw like 20 last year at UCLA. Tyler Bray is our JP Prince; next year can't come soon enough - pretty sure we'll be starting a freshman as well. Anyway I hope Prince comes back quick.

We have two QBs. Our starter is junior Carson Coffman. He is a drop back passer with decent legs. Unfortunately he's a drop back passer that has a weak arm and no timing. The backup will likely see significant playing time. He is a 5th year senior transfer from USF Grant Gregory. He is a mobile type QB. He can move, but is a very inexperienced passer, and he doesn't know the offense very well, and can't read defenses very well. Our two stars on offense are our RB Daniel Thomas, and WR Brandon Banks.

The QB situation is why I say you will stop our offense. I also think that our offense will have turnovers which will set up your offense for easy points.

Oregon State will...probably be pretty mediocre again? I don't see us going too far. I'll be happy if we beat USC (My mother's choice team) and win the Civil war against those damned Ducks.

Yeah, it went pretty much exactly as I expected. Inability for K-State to move the ball. An interception during K-State's first drive setup UCLA for their first touchdown.

So K-State beat Iowa State this weekend at Arrowhead stadium. Very cool game. K-State won by blocking the game tying extra point with 36 seconds left. Ended up winning 24-23. Up to that point ISU's kicker was 47 for 47 on PATs.

1-3 team besting a 4-0 team - fantastic
When the 1-3 team is totally unranked and the other is -- even better
When its your in-state Rival, and beating them in a thrilling OT victory... Priceless

Go Green! Go White!

Yeah, a coworker of mine was at that game. She's a huge Michigan State fan.

Any team that is playing Michigan is my second favorite team that week. This week I love the Spartans!

Sadly ND's D-Line wtfpwn'd UW's O-line on Saturday.
