it was so . . . . disapointing? I was hoping to get outa work lol - I hear between 3 and 9 inches possible, look out my window when I wake up and see. . . . . nadda. It then snwed for the span of maybe 45 minutes and stopped there.

I guess we got our quota last time lol

Baltimore got about 30 inches or so. I drove to Philly last night and went snowboarding today about 100 miles north. They got about 1 inches. The **** irony.

Heh, where was this exactly? :p Sounds really close to where I live. All the Pocono ski places are about 50 miles east of me. This has been a crazy storm but that's still a big difference in snow amount!

Winter has things all backwards this year... for which I have been pretty thankful. :p

Camelback near Tannersville. Hopefully make it to Blue Mountain next weekend.

You picked the wrong storm to go skiing in! Camelback just got some 8-10" today and it's still coming down pretty heavily.

Then again, a bit more than 150 miles of Interstate 81 is closed from this area on south to the Maryland border. Not that you take 81 to get up this way from Philly, but I know other roads are cancelled as well, just not which ones offhand.

Craziness!

Wonder just how much we'll end up with... 10" is more than enough on the ground for my liking...

I'd invite you all to come visit sunny California, but your airports seem to be closed. CNN seems to think this is catastrophic.

Yeah I'm not getting out of here anytime soon... :p

Especially my little town here. We're only about 15 minutes from where two pretty significant interstates cross as well as a city of 35,000, but the town classifies as the boonies. 10 minutes driving through windy mountain roads, as I'm right in the middle of the Appalachians, spells trouble in a big storm. Back during 93 the National Guard had to come get a relative to take them to the hospital cause I think our township had given up at that point. Batten down the hatches was a very applicable phrase then, and it applies decently well for today and tomorrow here too.

Now to go shovel enough snow just to let my dogs out... :p

Maryland has pretty much been shut down since Friday night. Nobody's going to work or school...it's pretty weird.

We're supposed to get another 10-20 inches on top of the 30odd we already got...I don't think things are going to be cleaned up enough for people to get to work until sometime next week.

We got yesterday off and that's about it. I'm staying home today on flex time, **** those assholes.

So, Friday morning I left to go to Western MD to go skiing. Got there, and got nailed with about 36 inches. Great skiing.

Got back Sunday. In-laws were staying at the house and basically dug us out. Awesome.

Tuesday, got home to another blizzard. About 16-20 inches or so, on top of about 28 from the weekend. Tough to tell, because winds where roaring, creating serious snow drifts. Spent Wed digging out, Thurs sitting on my ***. Back at work today.

It's supposed to snow tonight, tomorrow morning, Monday, Tuesday, and next Sunday. Wow.
