Yeah, I remember winning a lot of contests like that. Most involved alcohol. Most I regret today, but its who i was at the time.

To put it more precisely than indicated above. Carls, Jr. is Hardy's, Hardy's is Carl's Jr. The only thing that changes is the name as far as I can tell.

Lenas you are awsome! Lol. We had a contest after work one time, one of the guys I work with was bragging how he could eat so much..I said I could beat him. I whooped his butt by eating 32 pancakes.. I do admit i only ate 1 more than he..but I won!

I didn't really whoop his butt, but I like to remember the story that way. :)

Jeez... did you hear a tearing sound in your gut after eating that many pancakes? Were they normal or silver dollar sized?

They weren't the huge pancakes, were about palm sized. And no... My belly didn't rip open like an Alien was gonna surface lol. I don't eat like this regularly, just when I'm challenged! My size fools em into thinking they have an easy win !

This thread is terrible, it's tempting my junk food cravings ...

I once saw a man eat 2 lbs in cheese in about 17 minutes and in another contest eat 10 double cheeseburgers (McD's) in 10 minutes.

OK, there are a couple of things on that list that I simply cannot wrap my head around:

Quote:
Asparagus
5.75 pounds of tempura deep fried asparagus spears in 10 minutes

I think I would explode. And, my pee would stink for a year.
Quote:
Crabcakes
46 three ounce crabcakes in 10 minutes

I like me some crab cakes, but this sounds like another recipe for disaster.

Now, 250 tater tots in 5 minutes sounds do-able.

I was about to make an oral sex joke, but that would just end poorly for everyone.

Some of those seem impossible unless you were a baleen whale of some sort. Which she does not appear to be.

Wow...competitive eater. Interesting thing to have on your resume. I don't think I would come close to breaking her records ;)

The company that owns Carl Jr.'s bought the Hardees concept at least a decade ago with the intention of eventually moving all the current Hardees locations over to Carl Jr.'s and even began the process by co-branding the now trademark "star" logo. However, it never went further than due to brand recognition issues. Too much of the United States was familiar and comfortable with "Hardees" and shifting those established links was deemed too expensive for little gain.

And for those of you live in the Southeast, Zaxby's is the best place for "fast casual" or "fast food" chicken.

Scary thing about her (Black Widow, that is) is she weighs all of about 100 and nothing pounds.

And in this year's Wing Bowl (Philadelphia based wing eating competition sponsored by local AM Sports radio station), I believe the winner ate 243 wings.

The "champion" eaters for competitions like this all tend to be thin, or muscular and not fat. Fat doesn't stretch like muscle.

I've tried Five Guys, mainly because some people raved about them on the "OMG the best burger you'll ever eat". I was not impressed.

If I'm going to indulge, it will be for the Hardy's Philly Steak Thick-Burger, which (un?) fortunately are not part of the normal menu and only come around a couple times a year.

And I concur! By far the best "fast food" chicken that I've had.

Their burgers are big, I'll give them that. Again, not my favorite.
