We had a thunderstorm that rocked the sky so hard that car alarms started going off. Made for some interesting dreams when I was finally able to get back to sleep.
I dreamed that Obama and his secret service agents were staying at our house for a couple of days to dedicate a nearby cemetary. They were using up all the hot water making coffee and taking showers, so we couldn't get the kids ready for school.
Then I dreamed that I found Ron Jeremy in the spare bedroom where he had a 16 year old blonde girl tied and gagged to a fold out couch bed. He was wearing my nightgown. Not a sexy one, my I'm-fat-and-pregnant-stole-this-from-your-grandma nightie.
So I jumped on him and started punching the crap out of his face.
Not sure if I was more mad about the young girl or the nightie.

What did YOU dream about last night? :D

LOL I'm too doped up and groggy on Benadryl to be able to hold onto any useful details. I remember driving out to Six Mile (place name meaningless to any of you in all likelihood) in a Bronco I haven't owned in 15 years because everyone was about to be snowed in and they needed me to bring some stuff out to the house. While I was in town there was some toddler unattended on the sidewalk, and I think I had to figure out how to get him back with his people... I dunno, when I woke up the only real enduring impression I had was just how much I want to live out in the country again.

When I quit smoking (almost ten years ago now yay!) I used to put nicorette patches on right before bed. That causes the most messed up dreams! I had one where I was on a gigantic spaceship with gold tinted glass walls, and I was one of the ninja turtles, and for some reason I had to find little burritos to power up. There was a pool hall on the ship and I found one of the little burritos on top of a paper towel dispenser on the wall beside the chalk. I kinda miss having dreams like that where I wake up and wonder, "What the hell was that about?!"

Can't remember specifics of the dream, but I woke up with something that could knock over a redwood.

1mg Clonazepam silences the cone for blissful nothingness until the alarm goes off.

Don't remember. I take my one dose of diphenhydramine at bedtime for my allergies and that seems to block me remembering any of them. :(

I rarely remember my dreams.

I have to rely on Oonagh to tell me what it is I said in my sleep to get some idea of what I was dreaming of.

I've confused the hell out of her with some of the things I have said...

Still my personal favorite, "Wow, that's a lot of robots"

I can't remember last night's dreams, though I'm sure I had them.

I read somewhere that you can increase your dream recall by maintaining a log that you keep next to your bed. Dreams occur during light sleep stages, and it's normal to wake up several times in the middle of the night just prior to dreaming, You usually don't notice or remember that you woke up because you immediately fall asleep again. But if you make a concerted effort to fully wake yourself whenever that happens, and to immediately write down everything that you can remember about what you were just dreaming (as well as when you first wake up the morning), you'll gradually find that you can remember more and more about your dreams. As well, your dreams tend to become more vivid as they are occurring. Some people will even experience "lucid dreaming" with practice.

I don't assign any particular value to dreams, but it sounded like an interesting experiment. So I tried this for awhile and found that it did, indeed, work. After two or three weeks, I was able to remember virtually everything that I dreamed in pretty complete detail. I also became increasingly aware that I was dreaming during my dreams. This has always been the case with me to a degree, but it became more pronounced. I never did have outright lucid dreams, but I don't doubt that some people do. Richard Feynman has an amusing anecdote about his own experience with that in "Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman!" I've heard that lucid dreams leave you very poorly rested, though, so perhaps it's just as well.

Eventually I stopped maintaining the log and slipped back into my usual habit of remembering almost nothing. That was partly because it becomes a bit of a hassle, but partly because I discovered that the vast majority of my dreams were ... I don't know. "Nightmare" is really not the right word, here, but they were largely unsettling and haunting. Morbid curiosity kept me going for awhile, but eventually I decided that I might be happier just forgetting them.

YMMV.

Lightweight! hehe

I think I dreamed about dingoes. Or cyber-dingoes. Or maybe both.

I only remember that in my dream, I had to feed puppies. But Deja wasn't producing milk. So I called my mother and told her that Deja didn't have any milk and asked what I should do. And I don't remember what I was told to do.

Masturbating.

That is the only part I remember. I think something was trying to break into my parent's house at some point as well.

I was working the grill at Jack In The Box. I come out of the grill area and turn the corner to what would have been the drive thru, but all of a sudden I'm in my old bedroom at a house I used to live in and Tommy Shaw from Styx is hanging out playing my guitar. He jams a bit, I bum my roommates guitar and we jam together.

Good times.

I had a dream about I girl I don't really know that I added over fb. I saw her on a friend's friend list and did the "omgsheishotwhoisshe?" We've chatted a few times but nothing really huge, so the dream was odd in that it was like we were bff's or something in it.

Zombies! They were coming for me, but you could stop them by yelling at them in German.

I was posting on the Glade, then my doorbell rang. All the women of the Glade were there in lingerie and one of you had a bottle of baby oil, and someone else had KY.

I had to turn down their offer as I was right in the middle of posting this message.

In my experience that works with the living as well.

I dreamed I ran into my old girlfriend. She was mad at me for not keeping touch with her.

I'm in the "I rarely remember my dreams anymore" camp. Which sucks, since I remember as a little kid having really vivid dreams. Hell, sometimes back then, I'd just look around my room in some sort of half awake dream state and watch some sort of light show. That was really cool. Except for the Toilet Vampire that I always had to work up the courage to walk through when I had to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night...

Sadly, many of my dreams are the thing horror movies should be made of. People always being hurt and dying around me. But I do not think Eli Roth's Hostel could capture the vulgarity of the harm being done to people.

That or they end up as horribly XXX rated.

But last night was neither one of those nights. Last night I dreamt that I bought an old Denny's building and was living in it. And for some reason my daughters boss (she has been babysitting) was there. And never left... ever. Well I got fed up and picked a verbal fight with her. And we just got into it. Between us, the words could have been considered pure blasphemy.

No punches were pulled, and no quarter was given. The last thing I remember about the dream was telling her "I hope you can suck a c*** like a porn star, because that is the only possible way any man could tolerate your prescence for more than 10 minutes"

From there I woke up.

At one time I was prone to violent dreams. It was like one long kung fu movie. Fight after fight, never ending battles. When I was in the army the most common one was weapon failure. That or I would shoot someone and it did not stop them. They would not stop, I remember putting a full clip into someones head. They kept coming. My dreams now are mostly strange bits of life.
