You know, when I had a >$50K severance package on the table, no one wanted to look at my resume. When I let that go and decided to stick with my job for my child's sake, I can't get people to leave me alone.

I just got an email from a headhunter for a job in Basil. Switzerland. It's actually tempting: Lead Scientific Publisher/Head of Scientific Report Publishing Group, Strategic Planning & Operations.

Thinking "oh, what the hell!", I sent my resumé. I got a call back within a minute of hitting "send". I haven't called back - there's shoveling to be done.

Switzerland is probably more fiscally secure than the US at this point. I'd at least consider it.

I think they saw the resume and might want me for something a bit lower on the food chain.

But yeah, I am that good.

Who knows. I have her >50% of the time now, she wants to spend more time with me, and I make considerably more money.

But the move won't happen - they want someone who has managed a minimum of 7-8 people, and my group was only 2. (My company had very few groups that large.)

But it was nice that my other qualifications were on track.
