Happy Valentines day to one and all!!!

Remember sending roses and chocolates to yourself is only weird if you don't share the chocolates~!

And they taste fine.

I spent it in the garden with my wife. It was a nice day.

F that POS faux-holiday with a giant, spiked dildo!

Seriously, Valentine's Day is by far the biggest waste of a "holiday" in existence.

Sounds a bit bitter there Rodahn. Its a Halmark Holiday for sure, but hey, people get to express their love at least once a year.

If you need a holiday to remind you to appreciate the one you're with maybe marriage isn't for you ;)

Exactly, Timmit. One of the main reasons why I think Valentine's Day is a travesty a sham and a mockery.

I worked. A lot.

Phe and I had our Valentine's Day on Saturday, when we double-dated with a pair of friends to have a very nice dinner at a sushi restaurant, then went to see The Wolf Man.

As I understand it, the Catholic Church encouraged the observation of St. Valentine's Day when the plague had hit Europe especially hard and they needed people to be fruitful and multiply.

Today, that need isn't around, but the sheeple buy into it and buy buy buy to celebrate it. if you need that hype to remind you of the one you love, you're a pathetic excuse for a lover. It is still a pleasant diversion, for me at least, to consider (and mostly remember) romantic love as opposed to the sex market that permeates the world most of the rest of the year.

You don't like it, fine. Remember that all that advertising and hype and the buying and selling is keeping a lot of people employed a little bit longer and every little bit helps.

Look at the progression of Holidays throughout the year and you will find a lot of Hallmark Holidays with little meaning. Each of them contributes something to someone's bottom line. A lot of them are worthless shams, sales disguised as holidays. Valentines Day at least has some interesting history behind it.

The best Valentine's Day I've had in 3 or 4 years. I spent all my money on myself and got to rip some powder ... How awesome!

Sure, why not. Just brush and floss before you go to bed.

I only mentioned it so I could introduce you guys to B&B day next month. I'm sure I've mentioned it in the past... Remember boys not all your work will be in vain.
