While I would not suggest a haircut as extreme as the one in that pic, going from mid back length to say shoulder length or just above would be fine I think. If she doesn't like it, hair has this rather annoying tendency to grow back. More importantly the psychological change from old to new can be quite liberating. I believe Kirr'd be quite sexy with any length of hair. Then there's the maintenance issues. If its more a pain in the *** than you care to deal with really, then cut it right the hell off I say

Faux Luddish? Funny, someone at work today asked me why Office Communicator lists me as "Closet Luddite." So, it ain't the first time (today!) that the term has been thrown my way.

Sorry, didn't like Firefox 3.0 or whatever, and I hate upgrading in general. Usually don't see any particular point given that things work.
