No one has any clue about how to drive in the stuff, and there may be one plow in the whole darn city.

3rd or 4th time this year for snow in Dallas, though it seems to be a bit on the anti-climactic side this time. Not like the record breaker we had a few weeks ago. This city shuts down at the slightest hint of snow, just really not set up for it.

I nearly bought tickets to go on this cruise, going on this week:
http://www.cayamo.com/

Music-themed cruise to Belize and Costa Maya, with Lyle Lovett, Emmylou Harris, John Hiatt, etc etc. Different shows every night. I imagine right now it's heading toward the Straits of Florida so it can buzz the north coast of Cuba on the way back to Miami.

Isn't Florida pretty much the same? Seemed hot, cheap, and humid as all get out in the time I spent there. I was going ot suggest Arizona, but then I realized that you might actually want, you know, trees and stuff. :)

Florida in terms of cheap...not so much, when you consider most places won't generally pay you what you think you're worth. Hot and humid, yes....with occasional snow even in the W. Palm Beach area once in a blue moon "National Weather Service forecasters said two trained weather spotters reported light snow flurries mixed with rain in West Palm Beach and western Boynton Beach Saturday night." from Jan. 9th/10th Palm Beach Post http://www.palmbeachpost.com/news/light-snow-flurries-mixed-with-rain-reported-in-170916.html?imw=Y.

There are some days in the summer when you walk outside at 8am and just melt due to the heat /humidity, like lots of other places do too...

I was being slightly flippant. My experience was mainly with the Tampa area, where a lot of people seemed to live on nothing, at least out in the boonies.

It was mainly the humidity that I was thinking should remind him of Panama ...

If I had the money, I would be in Punta Cana, laying on the beach, listening to 30stm and Seether. A cabana boy would bring me drinks and help me put suntan lotion on my back :D

The former would be good, but you wouldn't need the latter ;)

No, we have a tendency to splash 151 on them, set them on fire and push them into the ocean whey they get annoying. ;)

And yes, you have now stumbled on one of the most inside jokes ever.

Coldest I ever saw it get down there was 60 degrees at night. Outside of some heavy rain...the weather was better.
