It never ceases to amaze me what people will argue with on this board.
You're arguing that one of the most statistically improbable cause of death is worthy of some sort of ... intervention.

Maybe every small item in existence should have a choking label attached to it.

Would you really want a law that requires you to attach a label to your peener?

I think the choking labels could use choking labels too.

Not if the choking labels are made of rice paper.

I don't know specifically about rice paper but rice is surprisingly hazardous for choking on.

It kills more people in Japan than guns.

Clearly rice needs a choking hazard label.

And its only proper that each grain be tagged in such a manner.

It's like you guys are trying to be as dumb as possible.

Again, all foods do not need warning labels. This has been fairly well explained over, and over again. It's a very simple concept, I'm not sure how to explain it more simply. But clearly, with discussions of rice and "every small item in existence" I'm failing to get through.

Oonagh and I were having rice with dinner the other night.

She starts choking on something and takes a drink. She's OK.

Foamy: What happened? You OK?
Oonagh: I got a RI (pronounced RYE) caught in my throat.
Foamy: *blank stare*

This shows us two things.

1. Apparantely, RI is the singular form of Rice
2. Indeed, each and every RI needs to have a choking label.

I've choked on my own saliva before while laughing and accidentally inhaled while trying to swallow.
Who can I blame for this.

Why would you want to blame someone for that? That's... odd.

Except you aren't, and haven't been for 5 pages. You've been arguing that awareness and education should come from a mandate.

When someone has a condition that causes difficulty with swallowing solids, rice is the first thing we remove from the diet and the last thing added back. It is the solid food most likely to be aspirated (inhaled).

Really? Explain this then:

Try again, sir.

In this case Arathain's extensive /quote's were thwarting any effort to fix them.
