It all depends. The Roiv is talking about raid gear (the Fippy Event where the Crook comes from is particularly chaellenging or so my raiding friends tell me). I'm in mostly Seed of Destruction (SoD) group gear and slowly progressing to Underfoot (UF) group gear. The Sod Gear is 700-800 each, where UF is 800-900. My augs average about 10 AC and 100 HP across all. My weapons are still very group, Fabled Whip of the Earth Crafter (39 dmg 20 dly + pet proc, but only 545 HPs) and Klygg's Halendine (44 (48 with 4 dmg aug) dmg / 21 dly and 710 HPs).

So unbuffed I'm sitting right at the 30K mark, 40K is raid buffed with everything turned on (self tribute, personal tribute, group leadership, raid leadership, stat food, stat drink, power source, and fellowhip camp), but does not include the extra 5K or so I could pull using the decaying HP buff Wild Growth.

Oh, and the cleric bot can crit complete heals for 9600, but does not have all the heal AAs maxxed yet. Pretty much the rest of Rank II spells crit for 13-15Ks.


Going back to the previous post a bit, I would also like to talk DPS. What do you use to max out DPS these days? On the relatively short first Queen Malarian fight, I rocked DPS (only 188 seconds and just over 4500 DPS), but I borked the long fights because I was focused on cures/healing with the cleric vice consentrating on DPS and barely cleared 2K DPS (which is is decent over 1100+ seconds, but raiding rangers man 10K+ DPS for these fights and I should be able to do at least half of that based on equipment and AAs. So I need to get things working better.

I suppose burn hotkeys would help, where I activate the synergistic abilities and clicks, where as I currently do them all manually off single keys (and forget or miss stuff because keeping people alive with the cleric bot is equally if not more important).

I know we are close to beating the QM fight, and hopefully will defeat her next weekend, I'm just looking to make sure I do my part.

It was a good night for Gorse last night. Some friends were farming named in Arthicrex (one of the new "bug" zones from Underfoot) and had some rots they let me come loot.

I posted this over on Outrider, but want to see if anyone still active here care to comment:

I'm a casual player that does "raid" 2-3 times per month with 30-35 toons (one third or more being bots). Because of some recent upgrades I have a couple of questions that I figure folks here can answer easily.

First: I have a Earstud of Darkest Shadow with Sharpshooting VIII from Bimbalicus.
I now have two Underfoot Earrings (one underquary one Arthicrex but otherwise nearly identical) and both have Sharpshooting VI.

Should I Keep the Sharpshooting VIII or thake the 300 hp/mana/end and a little AC upgrade from the new earrings?


Second: How much DPS can we do with 2-HS?

I picked up Collyx's Cleaver (130/34) and have the +7 dmg aug in it.

I am currently using Hunter's Trap (60/24 +4 aug) and Klygg's Halendine (44/21 +3 Aug).

I would assume the dual wield is better, but with a ratio greater than 4 I really don't know. I've got pretty much all the applicable AAs.


Third (I hope a no brainer, but asking anyway): Which bow is better DPS for archery burns?

Fabled Bow of Contortion: 79/31 2.55 ratio

Arms of the Cliknar: 68/25 2.72 ratio



Comments and suggestions appreciated (including where to get a second decent weapon, besides the gold token (only 4 of 50, but don't get there much).

Archery is really only a DPS factor with our discs running, and the extra "to hit" bonus of Sharp Shooting VIII over VI (24% compared to 18%) wont mean anything with the hit bonus from Sureshot in effect. I'd personally go with the extra HP and AC.

Of course, 300 HP and a couple AC against 5K quad hitting trash mobs isn't a huge swing either, but at least it is some benefit.

I'm so far out of the loop on DPS derivations on weapons that I don't have an answer for this, but the DPS is probably pretty close. I'd probably look to replace the Haledine with Fire-Formed Obsidian Shard and stick with DW... plus, that would be 2 decent tap procs, which combined with IF and either Fire or Ice mastery, a really nice DPS/Heal combo.

In my opinion, for burning with Sureshot + damage/crit mods, the Fabled Bow is better for burns. The compounding effect of the crit/damage mods should easily overcome the slight ratio advantage on the Cliknar.
