They play hard and fast. Not as hard as the men but I think they are just as quick.

Isn't the whole country, you know, going to sort of shut down for the day? Will anyone notice if you're not there?!

cannot WAIT for the game tomorrow. Of course I wish I were back home with my friends like the SLC game, but sometimes you can't have it all :)

I want to say, Silver Medalist and USA Goaltender Ryan Miller won MVP recognition for the tournament.

No player deserved it more.

I disagree on Miller for the MVP. Toews should have got it.

Toews was a great player, no doubt, but he was part of a whole, a cog in the machine. He wasn't dominant, Canada didn't ride him to victory.

Miller was dominant, and the USA didn't get anywhere near any medal without him. Miller was the US team. While the team performed well enough, Miller rose above them all. He was the dominant player in that entire Olympics series.

I think it's the very definition of MVP...no single player made a bigger (positive) difference to their team.

Disagree wholeheartedly. Everyone talks about how awesome Miller was, but really, who tested the US team but Team Canada? We scored 3 goals on him each time, and every other team was sub-par against the States. Yes he played alright, but even a decent goalie could have put ups wins against the teams (other than Canada) in net for the US.

Toews was a driving force of the Canadian offence. His forecheck, backcheck and setup presence was probably the best on TC. He was all around the best player in the tournament.

Without Toews, does Canada win?

Without Miller, does the US get anywhere near the medal round?

That's a dumb comparison.

With Tim Thomas in net, yes. The team in front of him + the teams they played means anyone could have won those games. The US Defence was highly underrated imo.

Look, I'm not going to change anyone's mind around here so I'm not going to comment it further. Miller got the MVP, congrats to him.

Good game...I honestly thought Team US deserved the win more. I have no problem with the US losing except for the fact that Crybaby Crosby sroced the game winner....God I hate that freakin' kid!

I'll also add in on the MVP arguement......Miller, as Taly said above, was the embodiement of the MVP, the team gets nowhere without him in net.

Toews, while impressive, was nowhere near the MVP, hell, Rafalski deserved it more than he did...as did Jonas Hiller IMHO....he's the reason the Swiss had half a chance in any of their games!
