Heh, I have a really cool video of two guys in a car where one convinces another guy to go flip a cop off. He gets out of the car and goes and does it, like right in the cop's face, and the cop pulls out his stick and beats the crap out of him.

I'll see if I can post it when I get home.

Wow thats messed up. How come we didn't see that one on the news??

Hah! That's it! Seriously, I've had that computer for probably at least 8 years now. I wouldn't say stuff like that really got around back then.

Isn't that the same thing as "threat of violence". Isn't threatening behavior its own charge in various incarnations depending on the situation?

Your avatar is a threat of violence.

I don't get the "these go to 11" reference. Is it a movie line or something?

I'd rather be LTTP than fired for putting posting a response before the fire I had to put out here at work. It's never good to have a user community clamoring for your head because a service is down. :)

A zillion middle fingers later, an Oregon man is suing suburban Portland cops (.pdf) over his use of the gesture, claiming civil rights violations. Twice he flipped them off for no apparent reason while driving and was pulled over each time — resulting in what he said was a “bogus” traffic citation that was later dismissed, and a tongue lashing he still remembers...

...“The guy flew into a road rage,” Robert Ekas, a retired Silicon Valley systems analyst, said in a telephone interview Tuesday.
