It seems that keeping spam and porn off this board has been the intent from the first incarnation. You can go anywhere on the web for that.

That said I have nothing against self promotion if you are contributing as well.

We do, but except for the game forums and Health and Fitness, they encompass a fairly broad topic in themselves, or, in the case of Tech, pertain to the fact that it's a computer-based medium.

I see no merit whatsoever in a porn forum though.

DE, I agree, however I figured it was worthwhile mentioning. I don't disagree whatsoever with any of the forums that we have, it's just a concern I thought of for future expansion. The choice of a porn forum is one I figured would get the point across fairly innocuously.

Eh...the Glade has a pretty basic set of interest forums for a general board.

Go take a look at the SA forums, for instance. It's a higher volume site, obviously, so they have a lot of sub-divisions that don't make sense here (like separate forums for books, movies, television, etc. instead of just one "Entertainment" forum), but the broad categories are roughly the same.

So I don't think we have "a lot" of single-interest forums. Even if we did, my response would probably be "and?..."

I guess I just don't see why this is a problem.

Well in the interest of not crowding the forum, could we make some of these forums into sub-forums?

Perhaps fold food into general, and health and fitness into sports or general.
