There's no way. No. Freaking. Way.
Easy content is easy, Arafys. I'm fairly certain I could get most pugs through Valithria and Lana'thel, too. Putricide might be a bit of an issue.

Talya:

Eh, Normal Mode Content is easy. The problem is Hard Mode Content, where the DPS Requirement for Festergut, for instance, jumps from 7241 per person to 10241 per person.

And if you don't have the DPS for Festergut, there's no way you're getting past him.

I don't see pugs in blues and greens getting near the 7.2k necessary.

Next time a guildie is in a PUG raid, I shall find out what the typical PUG dps puts out on my server. I'm pretty sure the average will be nowhere near what it takes to kill Festergut. Saurfang or Jaraxxus should be a decent comparison fight, though as to Saurfang the only ICC25 pugs I know of firsthand (I'm sure there are others) are not true PUGs in that it's invite first then PUG up the remaining empty slots...

For that matter I don't think my Enh Shaman can carry his own weight there. Not on Festergut at least :( Not short of indirectly adding in his 89723243 buffs compared to a Survival Hunter's uh.. Replenishment...

I pulled 11.5k on my last Festergut Kill. Sean pulls about 12k on his Festergut Kills. 7.2k Average across 18 dps is not that steep.

But you're not in Blues and Greens.

I must be doing something wrong, I'm only hitting 9k on Saurfang/Festergut.

My Wow Heroes Link

I have 1 blue, iLvl 200 (incisor fragment), I am already just about hit capped, so I have not purchased the trinket to overcap that. I am still looking for the banner of victory from ToC5; I really do not know where I can upgrade short of that trinket as a DPS DK, to raise my gearscore enough to please the **** masses. I should be have no problems on doing ToGC10 except.. oh yeah, no PUG will let me join.

Speccing blood my DPS actually dropped quite a bit; admittedly it has been a while though.

Darksiege:

Death Knights are very gear dependent, and while overall DPS numbers probably look good in 5 mans as Unholy right now, you don't really have the gear for a Reaping Spec (2 Piece T-10, Bryntroll or Better and average item level 251 or higher), and the Non-Reaping Spec doesn't perform well over short single target fights. Consequently, you're offering subpar DPS to a raid. The big problem is that Blood isn't exactly friendly for 5 mans, but it is slightly more stable over 3 minute fights at your gear level.

I'd definitely get a DMC Greatness.

Speccing blood means I have to be able to maintain diseases, get Death Runes, and spam the crap out of Heart Strike.

http://www.wow-heroes.com/index.php?zon ... ame=Gileas

5-mans usually end up with critters dead before I get to do much more than toss out my first Death Strike, but on bosses that let me spank, I can do pretty well (lag permitting).

However, all the ***** about blood elf DKs means I get people looking extra hard at me and the fact that I'm not in a raid guild, and usually leads to no invite for anything.

Two upgrades I can see:

Ring from HHoR, and Cloak from Reg HoR/buy one of the badge ones.

There are also plate boots that would upgrade you from one of the ICC 5 instances, I forget which offhand.

Here is my WoW-Heroes link, you can use it for gear suggestions. Only two pieces are from raids- boots from ICC10 and gloves from VoA10.

You can almost surely do ICC rep runs with your gear- easy way to get a nice ring.

So last night we kill Festergut with 1 person down and 30 seconds to spare, having just done it last week with 1 second to spare and a full 25 man raid. I guess he's a safe kill for us now assuming we have our top DPS on.

Good job. I think we ended up killing him last night too. I was having horrible connection issues all night (Pickle Lake internet is so finicky :() and we got him to like 15% on a kill I was connected the whole fight for. Of course the next pull everything goes well but I DC'd right at the beginning and he had like 5% left before we wiped, which I surely could have done. So I offered up my spot to someone else but went to bed shortly after. I'm fairly certain they did kill him though. We also killed Princes earlier in the fight, which was fun.

I got my Zod's Repeating Longbow on Saturday. Now I don't know what to do...there are so few upgrades, I just have to wait for the guild to catch up to me.

I realized how much I've skyrocketed since 3.3...every single peice of my gear comes from ICC-10 or ICC-25, or Frost emblem vendors, with one tiny exception. I've got a 232 trinket--which happens to be from Forge of Souls, so even it is new since 3.3. Every peice of my gear has been replaced since patch 3.3.

I need a trophy of the crusade so I can get 245 T9 shoulders, I'd like to get Tier9-2 + tier10-2 (since the 4pc bonus sucks on both sets.) Funny that my next upgrade is likely to technically be a downgrade...

I have 4/5 T9 (and enough badges for 5/5 T9) on protadin #1. He's got 2/5 of T9 for ret spec which I never use.

He's spent over 290 badges on heirloom gear - 2 masses and both sets of mail heirlooms and both trinkets.

I have 5/5 T9 for protadin #2 and 3/5 T9 for the holyspec which was the main spec for that when my wife played it.

Other than the items which are freaking ridiculous to upgrade as a casual player (boots! boots! My kingdom for boots!), 3.3 has been great for us.

And 3.3.3 will make it easier to buy some Spiked Deathdealers.

We have any concrete idea when 3.3.3 is hitting? I accidentally sold all my Ebonweave and Spellweave and just realized I need 10 of each of them for Leggings of Woven Death if I decide to make them heh.

Not long- Last Tuesday they said it would be a few more weeks, so I anticipate next week or the week after.

Evidence points towards this coming Tuesday.

I'm expecting the 5% buff to be upped to 10% then too. Kinda disappointing for my guild, since we're usually one-shotting all bosses other than wing bosses, and those we're right on the cusp. We beat Professor last week and failed this week (tank ran into a Malleable Goo somehow that killed him with ~10 seconds left before boss died :() and Queen, with the 10% buff, is just going to be a matter of us getting air phases down. We already have some practice from 10s on cooldown use and such too so it's hardly going to be a new fight.

I guess it's a good thing overall, though, since raiding ~5 hours a week means we probably wouldn't see new bosses unless we started extending the raid ID anyway. Still never killed Yogg25 for this very reason. :p

Well, I ended up winning the Sanctified Leggings from Vault 25 today so now I got to figure out if I'm going to just use those in come 4t10 config or make the Woven Death pants with the Saronite I've saved up already. Already made the ilvl264 crafted boots so I'd really only be selling the Saronites and really, what is gold useful in WoW these days?

I have been neglecting my Pally lately since Im leveling my alt. Pally needs to spend his frost badges. I keep waiting to win one or two key items but I'm starting to lose hope. I need the stupid Polar Bear wrists from Gunship, which to date HAVE NOT DROPPED EVAH, despite doing that fight every week since it came out on 25 normal. I'd love to win the T10 pants from VoA but that's a longshot I guess.

As for my Druid alt, anyone here play Resto druid? He's 65 now and I'm gonna start queueing as a healer. I've been mostly feral dps since its so easy to level that way. I dual specced now and I'm gonna give healing a shot.

I'm starting to get very frustrated gearing up my warrior alt.

I've been running HPoS for 2 weeks now, and I still haven't seen the second Beheader I need to replace my Ebon Blade offhand- it's a huge DPS upgrade.

Nor, in that time, have I seen Edge of Ruin, or ANY weapon I can use drop.

I even ran HPoS twice last night- once on purpose, and then got it for my first random of the evening.

For a 27% droprate, my luck really, really sucks.

Thankfully, having lots of alts to bounce around eases the frustration with any single one of them.

My current trend is to get an alt up to about 4800 GS, start running raids, and then drop back to do raid weeklies+heroic dailies with them, knowing that I can pull them out if I need them, and that they're well enough geared for any content my guild runs.

My Pally and Hunter are at that stage, my Warrior is getting close. Now I'm leveling my druid and shaman through their 60s.

Dash: I have been healing as a Resto Druid for over two years now. Feel free to ask whatever. :P

-

Heroics never drop whatever items people actually need, though. :( I'm convinced of it! It's just like all that anti-camp code people was sure was part of EQ. :( Then when it eventually will drop, the paladin tank will win it for offspec...

Did you get the Needle Encrusted Scorpion yet? I assume for an alt you'd be aiming for soft cap of armor pen + one of the three ArP proc trinkets. Everyone Needs that item. :( While it's not as good as the other two, those other two drop from raids, so especially as an alt you have little choice. I dislike how they're so vital for dps warriors and feral Druids, though. I geared out my cat spec recently and decided just to aim more towards the hard cap. I'm a long ways off (hanging around 1050ish?) but I don't have to worry about farming for a trinket everyone Needs for their offspec. Makes me very relieved, that.

I'm only a baby level 65 but I'm getting the hang of healing 5 mans now. I'm letting rejuvination do most of my work, just casting that right off the bat if people are getting hit or it's the tank. after that I'm kinda all over the place. Swiftmend if the tank is getting heavy hits, and that combo that makes healing touch instant (natures something?). Curing and abolish poison when needed.

I guess i'm figuring it out as i go. I'm not using lifebloom very much, not sure how to work that one.

No- no NES on my warrior yet, although I finally did get it on my hunter a few weeks back.

I've seen it drop twice on my warrior, and both times DK's have won the roll.

As a sidenote, I actually got Ironsoul from Ulduar 10man Flame Leviathan run today... I just edged out a Warlock on the need roll....

Still going for another Tyranical Beheader, but at least I have something decent in the offhand, now.
