Still sleeping on the floor?

Isn't sleeping on a futon, like sleeping on the floor? new or not?

Not my futon, nice queen sized mattress that makes a pretty good couch.

My bed is overstuffed, as much stuffing as a pillowtop without the funky top-shape.

I fully understand.

<ridiculous flirtatious comment here>

Go read the snarky title thread, please.

I loved my futon. I would still be sleeping on it if my wife didn't hate it so much :-D

I just really like a good hard packed cotton mattress as opposed to most spring matresses- my back always feels better after sleeping on one.

Still sleepin' on my old mattress, the floor. New one wont be here 'til sometime next week.

Common misconception. If you get a shitty one, sure. I made that mistake once - not doing it again. Futons are just like any other bed, you get what you pay for. I've got both space and seating restrictions in my room so I don't have much choice other than a good futon.

I got myself a nice wall-hugger model, little more pricey but like I said, space constraints.

That's the frame. I'm not a fan of arm rests. Mattress I got is different color, as well as microfiber; it's pretty nice.

**** all of you people that actually fit in your beds. I haven't had a bed that my legs weren't hanging off the edge since I was in Jr. High.

California King sized bed, sleep diagonally. Works for a 6'8" friend of mine, or at least it did when I knew him.

California King is the only way to fly. One of the few things in life that is worth a high end price tag, is a high end bed and mattress. You spend more time in bed than you do anywhere else for the durration of your life, and you can't put a price tag on the value and importance of a good nights sleep.

Yeah, I've never regretted what our mattress cost. It was hard to find decent sheets at a decent cost though, and had to pay too much for the comforter. If you don't need the extra size, get a mattress in a queen.

My wife needs a step stool to get into bed :)

Oh really?

Quote:
The poor old Scandinavian moose is now being blamed for climate change, with researchers in Norway claiming that a grown moose can produce 2,100 kilos of methane a year -- equivalent to the CO2 output resulting from a 13,000 kilometer car journey.

Norway is concerned that its national animal, the moose, is harming the climate by emitting an estimated 2,100 kilos of carbon dioxide a year through its belching and farting.

Norwegian newspapers, citing research from Norway's technical university, said a motorist would have to drive 13,000 kilometers in a car to emit as much CO2 as a moose does in a year.

Much like cows, bacteria in a moose's stomach create methane gas which is considered even more destructive to the environment than carbon gas. Cows pose the same problem.

Ah yes, that's my cousin, Alces Alces. I'm a different species, Alces Australis Americanis (Southern Americas Moose). We're respectful enough to refrain when in polite company.
