Freddie Prinze Jr. is married to SMG. I don't love him as an actor but he's clearly smart enough and decent enough to hold onto SMG.

Ryan Phillippe was married to Reese Witherspoon until the question of being polygamously married to cutlery led to divorce.

Freddie Prinze Jr. is best known for being the son of a famous actor who committed suicide and was in 'She's All That' with Dulé Hill from Psych.

Ryan Phillippe is famous for being the first gay teenager on daytime television, and he was in 'Cruel Intentions' which excluded Freddie Prinze Jr. but had SMG and Reese.

I could see him as Cap but Tatum could be better if not for how he used to earn money...

Freddie Prinze, Jr. is playing a badass alongside Jack Bauer, who's dating Kara 'Starbuck' Thrace in this season of 24.

Dulé Hill was in that? I love that guy. Plays a great straight-man to offset Sean in Pysch.

Tatum the dancer?
Tatum the fashion model?
Tatum the actor, uhm, wait, no.
ahh, Tatum the bisexual model who did gay photoshoots?

He's just an actor playing a role, but yeah, a bisexual or gay Cap would be, unAmerican?

Then again, it could explain why the Winter Soldier is so screwed up in the head.

I think it is an unwritten law, the longer you are dead, the worse you will be when you come back.

Breaking: Chris Evans confirmed as Captain America

Huh. So, Johnny Storm is Captain America. That's...weird. But I'm also fine with ignoring the fact that those Fantastic Four movies existed (though admittedly, he and Michael Chiklis were the best things about them).

Interesting choice... But if he does not dye his hair.. I hope he is punched in the balls once per day every month of filming

So, does that mean we'll be getting a Fantastic Four reboot? Also, is this guy serious enough to play Captain America? He seems like kind of a goofball.

I think he can pull it off. Much better than the other choices, particularly Krascinski.

Well, with Marvel at the helm of their own movies now and currently batting two for two... I remain optimistic.

Bucky has been cast, so apparently he's going to be in the movie too.

Well, looks like it's gonna be a FF-style travesty filled with pretty-boy actors and aimed at teens. *sigh* Didn't they learn anything from the fact that FF flopped while Batman, Spiderman, and Ironman succeeded brilliantly?

I don't mind if Cap looks younger than me. He very likely should. The average soldier, especially infantry, is not older than 23 years old. Someone in peak physical condition, especially enhanced by a serum, is likely going to look like someone in their mid 20s, at the most.

The problem I see with comic fans today is that they get older yet the comic characters remain the same age. The fans' perception of their heroes remains locked in this state that "my hero is older than I am, and that is where is some of my respect comes from." Hell, Frank Miller created The Dark Knight Returns because Frank was turning 30 and he "was damned if (he) was going to be older than Batman." Even I struggle with that, though it's more musically inclined (I have a harder time accepting new bands made up of folks younger than me).

I get that feeling watching sports. It hits me all of a sudden that I am older than 99% of the folks on the field.

As for this...someone take a look at the cast of Saving Private Ryan...

Well, just don't look at Tom Hanks...

He looks like a patriotic penis.

I'm not digging this uniform.

I really like it. Needs a bit more texture and wear, but it's close to Cap's Ultimates #1 World War II costume.

Yeah, I'm kind of digging it. I like converting the red-and-white striped area into red straps on white. It's a slick way to maintain the theme while conceding that wearing flag stripes is kind of silly and ostentatious for a soldier.

It's interesting that the shield looks normal, after what we saw in Iron Man 2, though. That implies that it's a multi-piece deal, which is kind of odd.

It works, but the pockets and pouches make me worry we'll go back to the 90s and Liefield in costume design.

So long as we don't go back to Liefield "anatomy" and "camera angles", I think we'll be fine.

I like the costume. Especially since it is already obvious that they are going with the Ultimates lines... sorta

I think if they do something else with the helmet instead of making it all smooth I could get behind it. As is, it's very distracting.
