Strawberries and shaving cream? Mmmmm...lol.

Find me a good recipe for sticky rice and I'll be happy. My brothers used to make it for me...some vietnamese thing with jasmine rice and coconut milk.

These days my favorite dessert is a bowl of fresh fruit.

So many bad things keep popping in my head.

This place has a lot of good ones, the Kati' and I go there occasionally.

Looks like a good recipe, Micheal, but its not the same thing. It was like you cooked Jasmine rice in a saucepan with coconut milk, but extra milk (was there sugar in it too? I can't remember) so the rice would get fat and sticky. Then you put it into a round cake pan after it was cooked in order to mold it, then flipped it over onto a plate and cut it into slices after it cooled.
I may have to call my brother and get the recipe.

Most of the time when I've had sticky rice dessert style it has been in balls like the recipe calls for.

Like most recipes, I'm sure there are many varieties. In Asian cooking in general, the number of 'family' versions' of any particular dish can be amazing.

Shortly after I win the lottery Lydiaa, I'm going to take you up on the offer to come see Australia.

Maybe sooner, who knows.

I'm not much of a desert person, but there's a always full japanese place which does the wonderful afformentioned desert. because there's so much culture melting here, we have very interesting things... Green tea is almost an acceptable flavour for most deserts.

Then there's the wonderful korean fusion bbq (all you can eat), as well as french chinese fusion.. which are yummy yummy!

I guess thats what happeneds when you have such a large asian population here.

Those have been around for years, the trick is to just eat the chocolate.

That and lots of police raids and busts for "World Domination" organizations.

I'm not allowed to eat desert. Well, I take that back, I'm not allowed to eat lots of sugar. But if desert isn't sugary, I can have it. On general principle, I just don't eat it.

Its okay, I'm still sick, feverish, hallucinating. Now I have this scary picture of Müs covered in a candy chocolate shell, except for the cherry colored tongue he's sticking out.

For penance come over and take care of me till I'm better.

Baked Alaska.

Ooh, the things I learn as a result of coming here. February 1 is Baked Alaska Day. I never knew that.

In general, though, anything with a large amount of chocolate. Or a good cheesecake.

Hm, can't forget cannoli.

Screw it, they're all my favorites.

Creme brulee. No fancy shite. Cream, egg yolk, vanilla, sugar.

Flourless chocolate torte

Bread pudding

mostly I love simple desserts, rich but not too sweet, where the quality of ingredients shines.
