Of course it is. If you solve the problem, you're out of work. If you perpetuate the problem, you get to keep complaining about it and maintain your own power and source of income.

I'm also curious as to how changing the numebr of white people changes the number of gays.

If the right is going to be thrown under the bus by the libs and the media because fringe extreme groups attach themselves to legitimate organizations, then the Pres needs to be taking some serious heat for all these whack jobs he is surrounding himself with. Terrorists, tax cheats, racists...and people still think he is right for this country?
