I have stumbled onto the greatest thing ever.
It's call OOTP (Out Of The Park) Baseball, and it is an all encompasing statistical and operational baseball emulator that can set to be run in any historical baseball setting, or any custom made fantasy baseball setting using real or invented players. If it happens in real baseball, it happens in OOTP. It has full online dynasty league capabilities, and I was thinking about starting one.
OOTP version 8 is now available free from the OOTP website, and that is the format I will be running the league in. If at any point the league decides it wants to upgrade, we can simply patch to the current mode, through a fully supported transition without effecting the league itself.
I haven't decided how many teams I want to have in the league, or what the divisional or play-off format will be, or rules regarding the DH, or even what era the game will begin in. All this will be hashed out by those who decide to participate. If I get a good group of folks from here, I may even request a forum in the PBP section of the boards to chart our league history, and have discussion about it.
