Tonight I made stuffed burgers....

sauteed onions, garlic, mushrooms, and spinach with a small dollop of garlic bleu cheese butter between two thin patties of lean ground beef, served on a wholegrain thin bun with lettuce and a slice of red onion.

Next time I think I might add a bit of crumbled bacon.

I have a roommate that likes to cook.

He's also got sconces in his room. Wonder if there's a connection.

I try not to. Between Kelley and myself, we cook up a storm. Although I will admit a weakness for microwaved processed chicken patties.

Michelangelo's for dinner, nice Italian restaurant downtown. I treated two ladies I know to dinner, I had made from scratch including the pasta Meat Lasagna, asparagus on the side, heavenly.

Lady 1 had clams and mussels in a garlic and white wine sauce over spaghetti, she smiled and made yum noises a lot.

Lady 2 had a veal steak, some potato thing, au gratin on the side. I forget the treatment but she was obviously enjoying it.

Good conversation, and an acoustic guitar player playing some classical music tunes the ladies recognized. He was so good it took us a while to realize the music wasn't a professional recording being piped in. When the people to the side of us left we saw him over in the corner by the door.

Very enjoyable evening.

First night home from my Vegas trip...sauteed red and green bell peppers, onions, and garlic with grilled Italian sausages on a sour dough roll with a slice of provolone.
