Okay, I picked this up today. I'm fifty pages in, and I must say.. Wow, talk about break-neck pacing.

Spoiler-lite, by the way, is my neology for "talking in vague terms and tropes." So let's keep this thread spoiler-free outside of tags, and at least start out skimpy on the details inside them.

Spoiler:
I mean, a soul-fire fight and a political glaring match, in front of the assembled Council, no less, in the first fifty pages? Yikes!

So, who else is reading, or will be soon?

Ahem, editted for correct title.

My copy arrived yesterday, but I'm still woefully behind on my readings. I'm about halfway through White Night (book #9) right now, so I'm not too far away.

On the plus side, I ordered it from Amazon for $15, and on release day they lowered the price to only $10, so...yay for $10 hardcovers!

Do read more. They're fast enough reads that the number of books shouldn't intimidate or dissuade you. Library them if the cost is the factor.

I pre-ordered mine, so I sadly was locked into a higher price.

It will get here Friday, and I plan to spend the weekend reading.

I'm most of the way through it, probably will be through it in the next day or so, and all I have to say is damn. Changes is an appropriate title.

Wow. Coming up on 2/3s done (at this rate, I'll finish tomorrow.. I can't think of the last time I polished off a book in under 3 days), and I just had to share my mirth at

Spoiler:
Sanya's drug dealer comment.

Also,

Spoiler:
I totally shed a tear over the casualty of the Ick fight, and Esmerelda is awesome.

Finished this up last night, and all I have to say is "holy ****". The last few chapters are just brutal. Not sure where it's going to go from here... not going to post any spoilers, because I'm lazy.

Picked it up yesterday, starting it later today.

Holy ****.

Changes is certainly a good title for it.

This is the first one of his books that's had a cliffhanger ending like that....So not how I thought it was going to go.

I'm glad. I haven't picked up the book yet but I will - I thought the series was getting a bit predictable, so this is good news!
