Undesirable would be your opinion. If we banned folks who were undesirable, I'm sure you would have been gone a long time ago. More like, I broke rules and got punished.

And perhaps that is a douchebaggy way to be. I'm not a fan of religion myself, as I'm sure everyone here knows. But I believe that it has a purpose for those people that choose to believe whatever they believe.

I'm sure she has her reasons. I'll not speak to them as its not my place, nor do I know really what they are.

You can't disassociate Bery's douchebaggery from the thread, though. He intentionally secularized a tribute to religious sacrifice just to obtain a pulpit for his corrupted version of Christianity.

That's been his modus operandi for the last .. what, 10 years? As long as I've been here, anyway. He'd **** on a thread with little cross shaped turds, apologize and claim to be only human... then mount a pulpit and defend his position based on his "Bible according to Bery". Over and over, for YEARS.

I started off defending him vigorously, and admired his unbending belief in God. For years I would side with him in his constant attempts to prove his moral superiority over Taly and others.

Then, after years of that, I noticed that he created the furor so he could play his game, and for a while I held Christianity to blame... because when Bery spoke, he spoke for all Christians, and if a Christian questioned his behavior, the God help the less devout because Bery spoke for God. Always he escalated the source of his authority... his arguments were based at a level just above whomever he argued with and no argument could stand when Bery was channeling his master. So, I held all Christians to blame for his asshattery. Those folks who gotta let you know within 30 seconds of meeting then that they were "christians" and all devout and going to heaven and ****? Yeah, they were "christians" alright. Right down to their toes.

But there were really good folks that just went through their days doing really good things and their actions spoke louder than words...folks who would actually help ... and love and care and pray for others. And by their works they were known. Good people, good acts, good results. So, I came to understand that it wasn't Christians I had a problem with, it was folks that had bad results... and looking deeper I noticed the acts weren't good either, they just gave the impression of being good... and the people weren't good either, they were in it for something for themselves.

It's evil. What else can you call something that weakens Christianity for it's own agenda?

So, DE, I don't see how you can ascribe responsibility to anyone other than the architect of this little crapfest. It's his baby, it's ugly, and it's the fruit of his efforts.

We ban those who break the rules as undesirable-- ie we dont want people here breaking the rules.
I follow the rules. ergo, I have not been banned. We dont consider people with differing opinions (even those in the minority) as undesirable. we label those who break the rules a undesirable.

I really don't follow the rules and I've never been banned...heck, I've only been warned once, years ago. The only rules I follow are my rules of civility - treat folks the way they deserve to be treated.

Nice try. Just because you haven't been reported doesn't mean you didn't break the rules at one point or another. You may say you haven't but you certainly could have qualified at one time or another.

As far as undesirable, again, that's opinion. There have been times where I was suspended or banned and certain people wanted me back. That would make me, DEsirable. So if we go by undesirable or desirable, then folks could come and go all the time. So, as I said last time. I broke rules, I got punished. That's something I can deal with. I've always been one to admit to the things I've done wrong. One can be very undesirable(such as you on many occasions) and not be banned.

Keep trying though. Hey I know, take a break and stalk some woman who finds YOU undesirable(something you should be familiar with) and then come back and see if that helps you figure things out.

Mainly because his asshattery wasn't the reason people came into the thread to troll. No one really even notied it except Khross. His behavior after they did was just as you describe because that's Bery, but it didn't inspire the questions about "brainwashing your kids". That was in response to a comment by Screeling.
