I tried not to like it; really I tried.

Bubba Hotep: Hated it.
Cannibal, the musical: Hated it.

But try as I might, I was highly entertained by Repo! The Genetic Opera.

Paris Hilton actually did well in her role in the film. Anthony Stewart Head (Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV series) was just awesome and showed a good range and changed tones perfectly. Bill Moseley did about as well as you can expect him to. Ogre (of Skinny Puppy) was awesome.

It was not a good horror movie but when combined with the music and the vivid colors they used; it was just fun to watch.

I was ambivalent about Repo the first time I saw it, but the second time it really clicked for me. I think it's a really, really underrated film, and one definitely deserving of more attention than it received.

I have tried to watch it 3 times, and not only did I not find it funny... but I could not even come up with anything witty to say ala MST3K

Nah, I have lots of friends who didn't even know who he was before they saw it, and they loved it as well.

Maybe some sort of expectation problem. You said you didn't find it funny, that's because it's not really a comedy, it's strangely serious in it's dealing with insane subject matter (which is kind of why it works so well).

No I loved Bubba Hotep. It was exactly what I expected from Bruce.

Oh I know, I loved it too and own it. I was just responding to darksiege's post, theorizing about why he didn't like it. :)

I honestly do not know... I like everything else I have seen Bruce Campbell in. Usually he saves the show/movie from suck of infinite magnitudes.
