We've had many incarnations of the glade with moderation and not.

Why haven't you all learned by now that moderation ONLY CAUSES MORE PROBLEMS?

I respectfully disagree. I wasn't being facetious when I said I thought he was evil. There are some that can cause hatred for an entire demographic and he was one. I believe those kinds of people are responsible for Christian hatred by what would otherwise be tolerant folks.

At one time, I considered myself a Christian ... yet one of the reasons I stopped posting here was because I became aware of changes beginning in myself, in my spirituality. I started going down a road that could only lead to hatred, and me and hatred just don't compute. I'm a very happy guy, and while I'm opinionated, I am totally open to others being just as opinionated.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not blaming him for my shortcomings, but I do believe he falsely communicated the way to prepare oneself for redemption based on concepts he imagined were necessary, not ones advocated by the works he himself claimed were authoritative for that purpose.... a false prophet preparing folks not for divinity to redeem them but for corruption and hatred to fill them.

I said what the problem was. I also said I saw the specifics as irrelevant. Why? Nobody cares if I'm ticked off about something, and quite frankly, I don't care if folks agree or disagree with my ticked offness. I'll ***** and move on. So the "other than just you don't like it" is the only relevant side of it.

This was the point I was making about what the problem was. Again, this example or the other is not particularly relevant to me - mentioning these will just get the discussion derailed into justification for this or that action.

I don't think the rules need to be changed after each incident, and definitely not during an incident. If we must have rules, just make them simple and leave them alone.

There will always be blow ups and pissing matches. Especially with some of the folks around here that mistakenly believe they are God's gift to wit and humor (looking at you, Coro). Don't freak out and change things because this happens, IMO.

Comic Sans is the scourge of typography. Anyone that uses it in any form of communication process needs to be taken out in the yard and beaten to death with Claude Garamond's original plates.

Yes. Yes I am.

It comes from a 3 year stint as a graphic design/page layout guy. For Realtors of all people. Realtors. I have never seen such terrible flyers, pamphlets and other documents in my entire life.

Papyrus is worse than Comic Sans.

Nay, good sir, but it is nearly as bad.

Comic Sans is the devil of fonts. Would that it be stricken from the Earth entire.

The Unholy Font Troika is rounded out by Algerian. /shudder

Algerian's pretty bad. I'll grant you that.

I would put TNR in my third spot of most hated fonts. Probably tied in that spot with Arial.

The Title Company I worked for paid some image/design company like half a bazillion dollars to upgrade their image...

The result... All company logos, titles, and letterhead...

Arial. **** ARIAL!!! YOU UNCREATIVE BASTARDS!!!

In spite of its popularity/over-use, I like the Trajan typeface. Does that make me a bad person?

For Titling, I prefer Trajan. For body text, I prefer Garamond. :)

I just feel a little guilty because it is the movie font.

While we're on the topic, red is not funny

Edit:
