Well, I guess it's technically true for him and the people listening to him. If you're already well off and can afford to invest in stocks or commodities that don't lose value like the dollar, you are in fact getting wealthier, at least relative to everyone else living paycheck to paycheck and not having any non-dollar denominated assets.
