Heh... I wasn't being completely serious, but thanks for the translation.. :p

It does beg the question though, has any one ever published a WoW lingo guide?

RaF - Refer a Friend
SM - Scarlet Monastery - can zone in at level 20, get XP to level 45 or so
ZF - Zul'Farrak, the only outdoor instance in Vanilla WoW (Zul'Gurub is a raid)
Strat - Stratholme - the best instance from Vanilla WoW for lore and cool atmosphere
OL - Outlands
NR - Northrend
Vanilla(?) - basic WoW

- HF could be Hellfire / Howling Fjord, but that's the only acronym I found confusing at a glance

As far as a WoW guide, some realms refer to an instance one way and others refer to it completely differently.

Are you sure it didn't just bleed out from Ice Cream?

I've noticed that the majority of Alliance players call the Deadminds VC(for VanCleef, apparently) instead of DM, since the rest of the people call Dire Maul DM(especially on Horde side since we have very little reason to go to Deadmines).

Easter Plaguelands sounds like an awesome place to me! :p

Strat now more commonly refers to the Culling of Stratholme instance in the Caverns of Time.

Strat is still the EPL zone. CoS is Culling.

EDIT:

Though, things are going to vary wildly from one server to another.

Yeah, on my server Strat is the original, CoS is the Caverns of Time variant.

Of course, Heroic Strat is a dead giveaway in itself, so....

And yes, we also use the Deadmines -> VC and Dire Maul -> DM abbreviation system.

I did it once, but found dual boxing on the same computer to be a bit of a pain.

It did really speed up the leveling process, though, and the free level grants helped me catch up my shaman and druid to the 'fun levels' (Shaman to 40, Druid to 20).

Last night a group of us went into Occulus, mainly hoping to get a guildy his title from just finishing it. We ended up deciding to give a try at using all Ruby Drakes. Then to our happiness, we actually one shot it and got Emerald & Amber void done.

Just need to get Make it Count & Ruby void and I'll have my drake at last.

Cool, had never heard of an all Ruby run. We did the all Amber run a couple months back with some hard work and perseverance.

It's not so bad, now, since drakes are powered up with your gear.

So the scaling does help a lot? I got my Drake the night before the patch hit with that change and I haven't been back since hehe.

I know it was enough of a change to make my brother's girlfriend outdamage everyone else because she had the highest ilvl gear. She didn't even understand what a temporal rift was, but still managed to make us look bad.

New question! I know you're excited.

How many healers should a normal 25m raid run with? We generally have what feels like tons, usually running with 7. I think it's a big part of the problem we have with killing some bosses, they just take a while to down missing a dps or two. Am I wrong in thinking you should usually have 5?

We usually run 5. Depends on the encounter/raid, though.

Where is that? I'm ashamed I can't remember and have been playing pretty much since release.
