I guess though to be accurate you'd have to take household income and divide by number of members of the household. I'm guessing they include unemployed people, children, etc.. in the list?

Ha I put in .00 at the end and it told me I was the 107,274 richest in the world. Once I took that out though it gave me a much more appropriate number

Just like if you put in anything from 0 to maybe 10, you are the poorest person in the world. There's more than one person in the world who has no income, and if you make 1 dollar, you make more than that guy. Also doesn't take into account alternate forms of income besides cash money (although it probably expects you to do that).

Still, close enough to have the desired effect on most of the site's American lower to middle class visitors. I don't necessarily agree with the guilt angle, but certainly serves as a shock and might get people to donate who otherwise don't.

Cause from where I'm sitting right now that matters far more than if I'm working at McDonalds or not. Though at this rate I'll end up there anyway. Life is awesome. At least the website will make me feel better!

Likely soon to be back in school getting some degree I likely won't care about in order to sneak into a student job at the library for at least some experience. Tack on another 5-digit chunk of debt. Ah well, it could very well end up worth it. I just hope you doomsayers are wrong about the economy. :p If I get enough degrees, someone has to hire me, right?!
