Official SiteJust recently picked it up from Steam for $10 and it's a lot of fun. It's a little bit like someone took the "decking" minigame from the old Shadowrun game on Genesis, and turned it into a game all it's own. I have a few complaints about "the way things work", some of which might have been addressed in advance by having had a copy of the game manual (purchasing through Steam means getting no books) or perhaps even availing myself of the in-game help menus, but all in all I find it to be well worth it's price and the time I've spent playing it.
I do wish, however, that the developers would have taken note of the suggestion made in the Escapist Magazine article "
Someday I'll Hack the Gibson!" and publish a massively multiplayer version. I think the randomness that would be introduced by having other players in this virtual virtual world could add quite a bit to the game's fun value.
