The Glade 4.0

It's so hot and humid in San Diego right now, and for the past three days, that I've actually considered jumping into a lake of fire to cool off.

My wife just got back from San Diego, and said how much she enjoyed the cool weather there....

All relative to what you're used to, I guess.

Well, it was 95 today with only 31% humidity. So it was hot, but not to the point where the swamp cooler would do nothing. According to the 10 day forecast, it looks like we are on a downward trend and it should be in the mid 80s by next week. I only hope it is accurate because it's pretty miserable in my room where the swamp cooler doesn't reach(though, I spend most of my time in the room with the swamp cooler because that's where our new litter of puppies is and since I'm unemployed for the moment, I'm taking care of them during the day).

Swamp coolers are great, but the humidity here rarely dips low enough that they're of any decent use.

100 degrees usually out here. Humidity has been above 40% because of hurricane Jimena.

If it is any help, around here (Atlanta, aka Hotlanta) the local Target stores are already selling window AC units for 40-60% off. I got a 7800 BTU digital, remote control window unit (which I am going to intsall in the master bedroom) for under $130.

It's been in the upper 80s and humid here in Dallas the last few days. On the upside, I got the yardwork knocked out early.

LOL, until I looked at the date of the original post, I thought Lenas was on crack (67 degrees is hot?), or waaayyy too young with far too many dangly bits to be having hot flashes...
