Oh, and a little random, but I absolutely love what Jacob said to Kate when she asked why her name was crossed out. My favorite line of last nights episode.

Spoiler:
I also like that he said "It's just a line of chalk, you can still do it if you want to."

That was part of the line I was referring to.

I like your theory about the alternate timeline Locke and Desmond saving the day, LK. I think you're probably right about that. I disagree about Ben, though. I think he's playing MiB-Locke for a chump. He wanted Widmore dead, but he tried to kill him before he could tell MiB-Locke anything about Desmond. I suspect he has some plan of his own to save the day.

Spoiler:
You could be right, RD. It's just so hard to tell with Linus...he is good at coming across as the bad guy but then looking like he has good intentions....I thought about that last night that he is just "playing the game" until he is in a position to do something, but I don't know...it will be interesting to see where he ends up.

Spoiler:
I could see that as well. He always had it in for Widmore so that wasn't surprising. But he may not still be all in for MiB. I could see him doing one last "good" thing to make up for the crap he has done. Also, I could see him staying the evil bastard he usually is and taking the place of the MiB(though I think that's far fetched as it seems he has no problem with staying on the island) or just finally getting killed by Jack or someone else(Hurley would be interesting as I don't think Hurley has killed anyone).

Spoiler:
I bet having Jack volunteer himself was just a ruse and Jacob already picked Desmond and bestowed upon him his powers....

I'm watching it, but I'm doing it more in solidarity for a genre show actually being able to be brought to a planned end on network television. The last thing I saw of Lost was about...eight? or so episodes into season 2. I watched the half-assed "retrospective" they ran beforehand, but it's pretty much living up to its title for me right now.

The first part of season two sucked...Phe and I got the first season on DVD and watched it prior to the season's beginning, and we enjoyed it, but then season two began and they fractured the story, started focusing on the Tailies, and lost (heh) all forward momentum.

Near-unanimous word that the series rebounded afterward has made me willing to give it another shot (loaded up the series in my Netflix instant queue), but that season two opening was so poor that Phe is still vehemently against it.

I was moved to see
Spoiler:
Shannon reunited with Sayid, as I hated Shannon's effing guts until her flashback episode fleshed her out, at which point she of course immediately died.

Spoiler:
Ok what the heck? What happened to Micheal and Walt? They died, right? A couple other people died and they weren't there. And when did everyone die? Did they all die on the original plane crash and the "meeting place" that they all created was the island and the sideways flashes? But if thats true where's Whidmore and Faraday? Nitefox said that the all lived their lives and died later but then all met back up at the church but that makes no sense because Aaron was there and he was a baby so he didn't grow up or anything.....I am soooo confused still!

Ok, I just watched the cast and the "alternate endings" (haha) on Jimmy Kimmel. Answered a couple of questions....but, it seems I am talking mostly to myself. :(

For pete's sake, are there no diehard Lost fans around here anymore???

Here you go Kate.

Ok. I loved the first hour and a half or so. I have been so excited for the finale. I really thought they would pull it off.

So I guess all I have to say is,

Spoiler:
**** seriously? The entire "alternate reality" of this whole season has been them post death, attempting to find each other again (after all the theories that the entire show was a bunch of people post death in hell, attempting to redeem themselves)? No true revelation about the island? Just them sitting in church, smiling at each other? Nothing with Walt and Michael? It's great that they brought back the whole cast, and they all got to be in love again, that is very sweet. Still, there was no way to end it to live up to the mystery, but seriously, **** those guys. Ugh.
