2KSports makes one of the shittiest baseball games ever made. The game play is awful, it's buggy as ****, and the career/dynasty modes are awful.

There development team is the biggest assembly of **** bags imaginable. The should have just hired Screeling to **** in the packaging, and shipped that for retail. They will never get my money again.

Here's to hoping MLB gets their act together, and puts an ends to their exclusive game production rights foolishness.

I **** LOVE BASEBALL!!

How often do you see something you've never - I mean, seriously never - seen before? Tonight's Dodger game against the Diamondbacks just ended with a walk-off ... balk. I mean, I can't even explain a balk, really, yet, Casey ****' Blake, dancing down the line at 3rd, 2 outs, tie game, bottom of the 9th, starts yelling about something the pitcher did. Sure enough, the 2b ump, than the 3b ump call a balk and Casey trots home. The DBacks stood on the field for a couple of minutes, really not believing how they lost the game.

I know it's because I'm a Dodgers fan, but that was freakin' fantastic.

I watched the Mariners lose two games to in a row, on walk-offs... the first night it was a grand slam home run. And to top off the oddness, the guy that hit the grand slam, broke his leg jumping on home plate when jumped in to celebrate with his teammates.

You guessed it: the 1969 Philadelphia Phillies. Those three games, played on September 26, 27, and 28 were won by scores of 5-0, 1-0, and 2-0, and were hurled by Jerry Koosman, Tom Seaver, and Gary Gentry respectively.

So, was that the worst call an Umpire has made ever? Or just in recent memory?

The worst "call" by an umpire has been Joe West's decision to embark on a perpetual search for notoriety. Umpires are doing their best work when no one knows they are there. He should be refused work by Major League Baseball.

Along those same lines Bill Hohn, most noteworthy for his recent ejection of Roy Oswalt, needs to be suspended.

I can't believe he'd even make a call like that, even if he was safe. If there was any doubt about it, in the bottom of the 9th with 2 outs, you call him out. That was ridiculous. For a guy like Gallaraga, who will probably never get this opportunity again, it's a crying shame. I feel so bad for the guy. It's one thing to give up a hit with 2 outs in the 9th, which would be EXTREMELY heartbreaking; to get the out and have it called safe is criminal.

Happens all the time. Players make errors, and umpires make bad calls... and no, the umpire should never give the edge to an event of magnitude, because it cheapens the event if they do. This was an unfortunate one, and hopefully an appeal can be filed, and won. I believe it would be won, as MLB needs the buzz given the recent state of the game.

Umpires bend the rules all the time to get games over with, for example when the score is 15-0 in the 9th inning. I bet you he wouldn't have called him safe in that situation. Umps hurry games along all the time.

And it's a poor job when they do, and when it happens, they should be fired for it.

Not to mention the fact that this game was far from out of hand... it was 3-0 for Pete's sake. All that was required for a major game change was a second baserunner after the call, and a blast.

Well, I'm not saying they *should* do that. I'm simply saying they do. I bet you'd be astonished at the number of times umps/refs change outcomes of games without you knowing. This particular case was just a completely blown call. However, I bet the homeplate ump has changed too many games to even count. People have no problem forgiving umps for strikes and balls (which changes the outcome of the game much more frequently than one blown call at first). I guess I just laugh when I see this play over and over.
