Quote:
A Democratic congressman under fire for saying that Republicans want Americans to "die quickly" if they get sick fanned the flames further Wednesday by comparing the U.S. health care system to a "holocaust."

"I call upon all of us to do our jobs for the sake of America, for the sake of those dying people and their families," Florida Rep. Alan Grayson said on the House floor. "I apologize to the dead and their families that we haven't voted sooner to end this holocaust in America."

So by inference if you do not support their proposal you are pro Holocaust? I thought I was already a Holocaust denier and a war criminal over global warming. If the Libs keep this up they can devalue the Nazi's like they have the tag of Racist!

Let them blame Republicans all they want. They have the majority they need without the Republicans' help. They're just pissed they can't convince their own party this is good for America.

This. It seems often to me that we keep hearing about how elections have conquenses (in my mind they only do to those people who get fired not those who kept their jobs) and how they have a mandate of the people with their supermajority. Yet they still can't seem to pass this bill, and it's somehow all the republicans fault.

However I think the truth is a lot of people on both sides are realizing hey the constituents don't want this and they are actually willing to hold a grudge against me next cycle if I vote for it.

It'd be awful nice for some Jews to step up and tell the Democrats to shut the **** up with all the comparisons to Hitler, Nazis, and the Holocaust.

WWII veterans welcome also.

For the record, this would be a good time to invoke Godwin's Law...on that Democratic congressman, who just used the Nazi analogy exactly the way Godwin's is referencing. He automatically loses the debate. Can we make that a rule in congress?

Congress already doesn't abide by the ultimate law to which they are bound. What makes you think they would somehow be subservient to Goodwin's?
