The next DC animated movie is an adaptation of Under the Hood, and I'm excited for it (trailer here).

Bruce Timm talked a bit about DC DTV animated projects, including the scrapping of planned sequels to Wonder Woman, Green Lantern: First Flight, and the long-discussed Teen Titans: The Judas Contract project. Basically, the former two didn't make enough money (or rather, make enough money quickly enough) to receive continuations. Shame, because I felt that Wonder Woman, a film in which I initially had absolutely no interest, was hands-down the best of all of the post-DCAU projects, and its financial failure actually put the kibosh on any further female-lead films.

Just a reminder: Batman: Under the Red Hood came out today, with Bruce Greenwood (Capt. Pike, Star Trek) as Batman, Jensen Ackles (Supernatural) as the Red Hood, and John DiMaggio (Bender!) as the Joker.

I have the Blu-ray in my hands, and if I can ever finish this mountain of work, I'm going to go home and watch it with Phe. :)

Watching it, brutal so far. I miss mark Hammel as the Joker, but I can live with it on this.

Watched it last night. Fantastic. Ties with Wonder Woman as my favorite DC Universe Animated film (though Batman: Mask of the Phantasm and Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker [Director's Cut] best them all, if we're including the DCAU stuff in the conversation).

Also, Bruce Greenwood's Batman sounds a lot like Kevin Conroy, so, that's good.
