So this just happened like 2 minutes ago and I thought it was funny.

Guy who works with me was trying to remember the name of an 80's singer but couldn't think of it so asked me and another guy in the office. He said "yeah, it was some white guy from the 80's, had kind of a deep voice". So we mess with him by naming off anyone and everyone from whatever time period. It's starting to bug the guy that he can't remember and he says "Rusty usally can come up with the answer to obscure stuff pretty quick" and I tell him I need a little more to go on. So as a joke, I type into google this "singer white guy from 80's deep voice". I go with the 2nd hit which was from Yahoo answers. Apparently there is a real need to find white 80's singers because the person on Yahoo answers was looking as well(not the guy from my office). It has one answer which just happens to be the same guy my workmate was trying to remember.

Here is the link I went to.

I'll let you guys try to guess...picture of the singer below.

I don't think it qualifies as a rickroll if "Never Gonna Give You Up" isn't played. Just a picture of Rick Astley is insufficient.

I didn't look at the picture. I just figured this being the internet and went with the only white male singer with a deep voice from the 80s that had any sort of pop-culture traction.

Rick Astley has a deep voice?

Compared to other white dudes from the 80s, yeah.
Seriously, compare his voice to say, that of Boy George for example ;)

Yeah that was my guess instantly when I read the question.

Considering that Rick looks like he's 15 in that music video, yes he has a deep voice.
