My wife looks out the window this morning and hollers for me to come look... I come into the room and she's like "Look!", and points out the window.

So, I look. Front yard, check. The road's still there, the storm that's raging is still raging but I don't see any damage...

"What is it I'm supposed to be looking for?"

"THE GNOMES!"

She had 3 Gnome garden statues out in the front, sitting on the crushed white stone... Two appear to be missing!

So, what's a Gnome foster parent to do? Shout out to the Association!

Two of the three Gnomes that lived under the small maple tree in our front yard are missing. We're not sure if they wandered away and became lost... or if they ran away from home ... or ... if they've been kidnapped and are being held for ransom!

Sid, the remaining Gnome brother, is still standing there but when I questioned him about the disappearance of his brothers he could only shake his head and cry. It's a terribly sad day in our home and I'd like you all to keep a lookout for the missing members of our family if you would, please.

Thanks!

Have you received a ransom note? Or perhaps they have gone on vacation and will send pictures so Sid can see what he missed out on....being the good Gnome, and refusing to go along with the evil travel plans, and choosing to stay home instead? Hope they make it home safely!

David,

Some pranksters must have taken them – they put them on our porch . . . 126 MyDrive.  Please drop by and pick them up.  We also had a vacuum cleaner on our sidewalk, which will also be on the porch if anyone is missing that.

WOO-HOO! Our family has been re-united!

:)

The guy has an attractive young daughter, probably 16 yrs old or so. All SORTS of sucking up goes on around the front of that house on a regular basis. That one young girl generates, on average, a crowd of about 3 young boys (and usually an extra young girl or two) on the porch of that home on a warm summer evening, or so empirical evidence shows.

Little surprises me, given that combination...

Thanks! Come on by anytime... just 1/2 hr. outside StL, in O'Fallon, MO. We have 2 vicious pseudo-dogs though, so don't go thinking you can stay forever!

I've seen those gnomes at Lowes. I've been tempted to get them every time I see them. They are awesome.

I'm glad the HOA is working out. Last october when I was heavily house-hunting to become a first-time homeowner, there were some pretty nice houses we found but the deal breaker solely was: HOA. I've heard far too many horror stories about nazi HOA committees. :(

Yes, those are rockers... We got those at Lowe's too. :)

I never had small dogs before, but I've found there are many advantages and no disadvantages.

Some friends of mine kidnapped a lawn gnome once when they went far away on vacation. Took standard touristy pictures of the gnome (though not including themselves of course) having a good time. When they returned a week or whatever later, they returned the gnome to his home with his pictures. Good times were had by all, I assume.

It seems they live exciting lives in general!

What's on the far right? Motorcycle garage? Riding lawnmower storage?

It's the 3rd car garage, but it's not as deep as the other two bays... my Jeep fits in just fine though. My wife's Ram 1500 goes in the one of them far left...and her RAV4 in the middle with room to spare.
