You have to pick a team of 5 (including yourself) to accomplish the following three missions:

Rob a bank and getaway clean.
Survive a Zombie outbreak and make it off the Continental US where the outbreak has been contained.
Traverse the globe by any navigational means without spending any money i.e. only getting around, eating and being accommodated on the good will of others, or offering whatever services you an render unto them in exchange.

You pick 4 team members, yourself and you get one alternate which you get to substitute once. Only one substitution. You are completing the missions in that order.

Myself (computer skills, Sailing skills, martial arts)
Diamondeye (army training, survival skills)
Kirra (Nursing training)
Squirrel Girl (Doctor)
Monte (Martial artist, performer)

I figure with that skill set we can accomplish the tasks listed.

Nope, I would have problems with myself accomplishing number one. Moral and ethical problems. It fails there. I also think the odds of getting away clean today are minimal.

For two and three, using what I already know about the Gladers, Rynar, Taamar, Squirrel Girl and Oonagh. Back up of LadyKate.

Problem is, other than SG and myself, they are all halves of dedicated couples, and I don't see them taking off barring us all being survivors of the initial zombie attack and all in the same place at the same time.

Rynar - cook, survivalist, has a business head and big enough to intimidate foes.
Taamar - cook, seamstress, and dozens of other skills she has lightly touched on over the years.
Squirrel Girl - doctor, authority interface, thinker, conscience.
Oonagh - teacher, able to pick up information and assimilate it quickly, hard as nails, willing to shoot first and ask questions later - trust me, I've met her.
LadyKate - Been through a lot and come out alive, survivor, entertainer, adaptive.
Me - relatively charismatic nerd, able to talk to almost anyone, okay with a shotgun, auctioneer, emcee, other speaking duties.

Note: thinking it over a little more, I'm not changing the team, but we're all survivors with me being the weakest link.

Yes, the majority are females, two I've met and enjoyed the company of. I've wanted to meet Rynar for awhile now, squirrel Girl too.

Khross - intellectual, Doombots, leader
Elmo - firearms specialist, leader
Monte - swordsman, leader
Diamondeye - military expert, leader
Mookhow - other

Substitute:
Lydiaa - token female, Daphne syndrome

Team is too busy arguing if a bank robbery is wealth distribution, gets caught and is thrown in prison. When the zombie apocalypse begins, the team brake out of prison. Mookhow is promptly eaten by zombies and replaced by Lydiaa. Lydiaa is quickly taken prisoner by the Zombie Lord and the team tries to rescue her. Along the way, the team gets into a heated argument about whether the zombies are the fault of insufficient regulation of Big Pharmaceuticals or Obama's healthcare plan. The heat from their flamefest sears a path through the zombie horde allowing them to reach Lydiaa and escape.

I'm not sure, but I'm kicking around the idea of Lex. He's got a devious mind for social engineering which would be great in the first and third challenge, and in a pinch we can throw him to the zombies and run.

Ok this is my Glade A-Team...

1. Rafael- transportation expert..he would take care of all the get-away needs and getting the team where it needs to be.

2. Corolinth- intelligence. Coro would handle the logistics of what happens when we get there..cracking the bank safe with mathmatical expertise.

3. Diamondeye- weapons mastermind..he would arrange all the appropriate firepower for the jobs that we have. No zombie will get near us!

4. Lenas- (Face). With his Cali good looks he would charm what ever we needed to get the jobs done...at minimal cost, if not free :)

5. Alternate-Arafys when chef skills are needed !

I would be the Dominating mastermind ...of course :)

Numbuk - This is the guy who you'd wanna have carrying a shotgun and a chainsaw in a 5 person traveling party vs zombies. also i hear numbukbutt is a great zombie-repellant.

Noggel - for his ability to reason

Talya - cause she kicks ***, and I don't want it to be a sausagefest.

Khross - counterpoint; translator; jack of all trades

Me - unassuming yet fearless leader with furious anger and great vengeance. i would bring new ideas, and balance to the group. and nunchuck skills.

Montegue - martial art...but I would have to check with Khross first

Runner-up: Zombie Abe. Sorry, Zombie Abe. You would make a great infiltration expert, especially being a celebrity and all....but, you are, after all...a zombie. I'm running a pretty tight game here, so you're out.

LK - So we can help repopulate the earth
Vindi - Cause we think alike and I trust him
DE - Got to have a military guy in the group. All the movies do.
Rynar - He can cook, would be good in a fight.

Alternate - Elmo or Monty. Reasoning is that Elmo seems to have a bunch of guns and Monty is a big dude with a sword and you need at least one person in your group to do something to help but ultimately they are sacrificed to the zombie horde, killed in a hail of gunfire while the others escape or are thrown off the boat to keep it from sinking.

Also my list:

Khross - he exercises 2 hours a day (as he once claimed). He once defeated a dog in unarmed combat without getting bitten
Elmo - gun fascination, ex-military I think
DE - police officer and military
Taamar - seems to be an all around competent person who would be good at survival

I made someone's list based solely on my ability to procreate.

Sweet.

I think all of our lists include a good cook.

You aren't paying attention Rynar. Your breeders aren't.

Fair enough. I stand by my team on it's other merits. The ladies have more than earned their places.
