I forgot just how beautiful New Mexico is. I'm currently in a hotel in Ruidoso, a little resort town in the mountains. We perform here tomorrow, and then we're off again. But tonight, It's a lovely thing. I think I could live in this state. Now I understand what must have inspired O'Keefe.

I've been to New Mexico a long time ago. It was so great!! I loved the cave dwellings and the lava tunnels (at the time I was terrified my flashlight would run out of batteries).

/smacks Monte!!

The West and Southwest contain some of the most beautiful states in this country!! Never forget that!!

(Yes, the other states all have something to offer, but not like the West!! :) )

I enjoyed my visit to the east coast, but someone hid all the mountains.

The mountains hide under all the wonderful foliage. You left coasters are used to identifying mountains by all the bare rock and stuff. ;)

And, snow caps. Don't forget the snow caps.

Funny, though, I had a hiking friend (here in CA) who had gone out hiking on the East Coast, Appalachian Trail or something. Said he felt claustrophobic under all the trees.
