I also expect she'll be at the house the day Mass Effect 3 releases, bouncing and chomping at the bit. It terrifies me. WE HAVE CORRUPTED HER!

Interpersonal interactions and romance plots kept my fiance glued to Dragon Age and the expansion for weeks on end. She's also a bit of a completion fanatic. She needed to not only play through once under both sexualities and nab the foursome, but she also wanted make herself queen.

ME 2 is one of the best video games I have every played. It is right up there with Portal for me.

Goddamn it. I'm not signing up for that infernal social networking site just to view a video.

That was pretty awesome.

Also, the new qunari look is...I like it, but it kinda...I dunno. They look way more monster than a civilized race. The way they look now makes them really look like their ogre darkspawn counterparts. When you compare a human to a hurlock or an elf to a shriek, they don't have that much similarity(humans and hurlocks have the same basic shape, but look different enough to make you question where they come from, and the elf/shriek is nearly impossible to tell), but now the qunari look like smaller ogres. That's that. They look cool, but I guess I'm just too used to Dragon Age: Origins and couldn't imagine any qunari walking around looking like that. These guys are mercenaries all over the place.

So, if I'm reading this trailer right, the main character of DA2 is going to be Morrigan's god-child.

No. Bioware already said there isn't a god child.

Also, the game starts in Lothering before the Blight destroys it. Therefore, your character couldn't be the god child even if it existed.

It's that thing Hawke is fighting. With the horns and such.

EDIT:

The more I watch that trailer, the more stuff I notice. Especially during the flashback Hawke has there. Interesting things if you really watch it. I am now of the opinion that Hawke is Flemeth's son.

So now you're seeing what I saw--since the same things could have indicated Morrigan's son, if Bioware hadn't already said no.

I don't think that's a qunari, maybe some new brand of darkspawn? Other beasty?

As for Hawke, I dunno that he could be Flemeth's son, given that you choose a gender and if Flemeth had a daughter... she'd be Morigan. That'd be an awesome story line though. With all those daughters you'd think at least once she'd have a boy. Would she get rid of him and try again or raise him or what? Would her next form be a guy? (Ack! wierd thought! Brain bleach!!) I thought maybe Hawke's an Arcane Warrior/Battle Mage.

Also, seriously hope that staff/sword is a real item. Please please please!

Nope, it's a qunari. Apparently, most of them have horns. I've been reading about them all day on the bioware forums. Some are born without horns and that generally signifies that they have a greater destiny. Others remove their horns as a sign of taking control of their own destiny(also, they usually leave the Qon when doing this. I'm guessing most of the mercenary qunari that we've seen so far are these type of qunari).

That trailer was awesome, and I'm really looking forward to DA2.

I was also very glad to read this little tidbit:

GameInformer Magazine wrote:
Not only will Hawke speak, but you will also have a new way to select his responses. Dragon Age II uses a conversation system similar to Mass Effect's, where players select paraphrased versions of the dialogue from a wheel. An icon in the middle of the wheel even illustrates the line's basic intent (like aggressive or sarcastic), so you can focus more on the interaction rather than reading and analyzing your dialogue choices.

Like I said, not all Qunari have horns. I'm fairly certain Sten is one of those. It makes sense. The Qunari say those that are born without horns have special destinies, and Sten fits that fairly well, I would say.
