Really? Legitimate discussions of history and actual policy of foreign states is idiocy how? Because people won't kowtow to the popular culture understanding of the European dictatorships that formed between the Great War and World War II? Or is because you can't fathom the reality that popular elections and legal procedures produced those totalitarian regimes? More to the point, since no one has contended, at any point, Obama intends to create such a dictatorship, where is the idiocy?

I have read the thread. I would like people to just be honest. Do you guys feel that comparing Obama to Hitler and Stalin is fair? Now, you cannot separate economic stuff from the indiscriminate slaughter and abhorrent murder stuff, because the purpose of that billboard is not to make a calculated, nuanced economic argument. It's to make a fear inducing argument based on peoples naivete, cowardice, and ignorance. It's purpose is to try and draw an equivalence on all levels between our current elected President and two of the most heinous human beings who has ever walked upon the earth.

So, Mus, in your opinion, the billboard is valid because someone can make an argument that Obama's policies are in some ways like the policies of these other dictators. Interesting.
