Maybe it's odd that this bugs me so much, but, is IMDB.com now a freakin' news and gossip site, instead of a place I go to in order to find info about films? I was reading about Rembrandt (it's his birthday today), and the ups and downs of his life made me wonder if anyone has ever done a movie about it. I figure they have, so I go to IMDB.com to type in "Rembrandt" and find out. Simple enough, I've done something like this literally hundreds of times, I'm sure.
Except that now, I've just sat staring dumbly at the screen for five minutes, trying to figure out how to navigate the new arrangement of their site. Remember the handy search box at the top of the page? Not there anymore. Oh, but I can find out all sorts of juicy gossip and current film info that I don't **** care about. I even hit the Home button at the bottom, thinking I had stumbled on something other than the Home page but, no, it's the same page. So, I click on the Search button down there, and end up at the Advanced search page. OK, fair enough, an extra click, but what the heck. Except that, no, that page is broken, showing me a cute little customized "Oh, dear. Something broke. Please let us know" page. Screw you, don't mess up what's not broken in the first place.
