Lovable Lenas ...what if you know nothing about the cartoon, it's still garbage?

Maybe being terrible is the inevitable M Night twist...

Whether you know the story or not, trying to cram an entire series into two hours is never going to be a good idea.

Shamalamalyn is awesome movies, with terrible endings.

Of course, 6th sense is the exception to this.

I've liked most of his movies, overall. The trick is to turn it off 10 minutes before the end.

We went only because my son wanted to see it, and if he hadn't been with us I would have left after the first five minutes. This movie was an abomination, especially since I've watched the cartoon it was based off of.

Except in the case of the last two films. The trick is to turn it off 10 minutes before the opening credits.

I honestly think this movie is getting a bad rap. It may not be as good as the source material... but it is better than many cartoon to movie adaptations.

Everything I hear says that no, it isn't. I've read that they got the pronunciation of several major character's names wrong. There is absolutely no excuse for that.

They are doing that, yes. But they are also saying it as Ah-Vah-Tar, so their mispronunciation is consistent.

Yes, I think it can be said with assurance that the entire film is **** up. They didn't half-ass the lack of quality; rather, it's utter and throughout.

I am entertained, that is all I ask of a feature length movie

I found The Last Airbender to be Batman and Robin-level bad. Dungeons & Dragons-level bad. Yes, even Battlefield Earth-level bad.

That's because they actually corrected the pronunciation for the movie.

They corrected the pronunciation of a made up group of people?

No real interest in seeing this movie personally, due to the source material.

As far as M Night movies go: his first three were the best, IMO (6th Sense, Unbreakable, Signs). Last four don't really appeal to me after hearing "meh" things about them. Lady in the Water has me intrigued tho.

I can only recommend that you go in with an open mind and just go to see an entertaining movie.
