My guild's finally getting time to work on him in 25s. Saw P3 with most people alive tonight so hopefully the end is near. When I look over the roster I get scared about Defile, so hopefully we can do P3 well soon so we can beat him and be done with it!

Mostly it's smooth transitions and Defile. Our guild is movement challenged, so fights like this take us a long while to master.

We finally got him down on 25s two weeks back. Defile is really the only vital thing to the fight with the 30% buff nowadays. Some organization on the Val'kyr too. Once we were reliably surviving Defiles he died in one night of raids. The only scary thing P3 throws at you on 25s is just how much damage the Harvest Soul does, and once your healers realize how scary it is (and hopefully have their Grid or Healbot show it on whoever it lands on for targeting ASAP a la Kel'Thuzad's Frost Blast things) even that is pretty easy.

For what it's worth, we went to trying a well-ordered and efficient Defile strategy to a terribly unorganized "Defile in 3, everyone spread out" method. Pretty bad for when you're trying to DPS Val'kyr down, but it was a significant improvement in the wipes-from-Defile department so there you go. 25% buff carried us to victory, cause I'm sure the Val'kyr would've been darn skeery at 0%.

Yup, we were getting nailed by Defile + Valk, or Defile + whatever those things are in phase 5. Everything would go great for awhile, then we'd get one defile+valk grabbing a healer all at once and that would be all it took. Just had to wait until the movement challenged finally got it down, then it worked out.

Got our first guild shadowmourne last night. Guy that got it gave Jaina's locket and Sylvanas' Music Box to the guild to roll on.

I won the locket ;) YAY!

You only need 4 shards for SM? Nice ;)

That's prolly more than 4 heroic kills. Its not a 100% drop.

Great night for my guild last night. 3rd week of attempts on the LK and we kicked his ***. What was nice was that it wasn't some "by the skin of our teeth" kind of kill, but a solid ass-whooping.

We only have 4 heroics kills left on ICC 10 now. Putricide, Blood Princes, Sindragosa and LK.
