Fox's "Tweet-peat"

Basically, you attempt to watch the show while Twitter tweets from the cast and crew are constantly taking up half the screen.

What moron thought this was a good idea?

wow.... These execs need a reality check. Ooh... A new reality TV show where TV Execs try and sell their crap shows to a panel of judges made of the viewers of TV. The losers get demoted to Janitor.

Well, there hasn't been anything worth watching on Fox since Married with Children. So it doesn't bother me.

I like Fringe, House and Bones. Yet I would not watch this crap.

They dropped the ball w/ Family Guy. The War At Home was awesome, don't know why they canceled that.

Cartoon Network has been doing this with "Clone Wars" too. My nephew loves the show, but the constant pop-ups explaining stuff, or making stupid comments, completely undermines any entertainment from the show.

Unless I am mistaken, this was a repeat of Fringe as well. The new season doesn't start for another couple weeks or so.

That may be the most retarded idea ever. If people are sitting at their computers to send in the tweets, why couldn't they just read the damn twitter feed on there?

This is almost as bad as people walking in and shining lights in your face/racing across the screen/standing back to back and laughing across the bottom half of the screen while you're trying to watch the damn show.

EDIT: Could this all be a really, really clever marketing ploy to sell shows on DVD? I mean, they could basically advertise "See the entire show, without our horrible twitterfeed or our ads taking up 1/2 of the screen!", and bam, instant sell.

With digital broadcasting, couldn't there be a way to disable to twitter feed at the user's discretion?
