There's a video on their site (latest in a string of somewhat comical marketing videos) that explains. Sort of. I suspect the real answer, however, is that it's ostentatious and gratuitous (just like the product itself), and gives an excuse (well, in addition to limited supply/rarity) to jack up the price.

Same as the batch of Sopporo space beer, that had its barley grown on a shuttle. You had to win an auction just to be able to buy one of the $100 six-packs.

What? That's so misleading. It isn't possible for yeast to produce alcohol in that volume naturally because after around 20% by volume, the yeasts alcohol kills itself. If they distill it to achieve higher alcohol, it's no longer a beer. This is why ice brewing is CHEATING.
