I thought it was a myth, now I'm not so sure

To win the fight the hero keeps his opponent's feet from touching the ground. If the opponent's feet touch the ground Mother Earth regenerates him immediately.

Neither dies, and they come to if not friends, at peace with each other.

Does anyone know this one or is my memory from another earth?

its familiar, I just dont recall where I read it. I did read a ton of mythology but I can't recall where I heard that one
