My experience with women's nesting urges is to work with the drive and channel it towards things that really need to be addressed.

Undirected and unfocused, you are just as likely to come home one day to bathroom in shambles because they decided that the faucet didn't match the knobs on the kitchen cabinets.

Ladas you have some wisdom there....it is definitely almost impossible to stay focused.
For example, I was sick all day yesterday except for like one hour. Did I use that hour to do the dishes and the laundry and sweep and take out the trash? Noooooope.
I got a paint scraper and started scraping the paint splatter off the floor in the hallway until I literally made myself sick.

Thanks for bringing that up...maybe Fox can help me get back on track before I start sanding down furniture or something while the dishes pile up! :D

I know the impulse is to do this to beautify the house and get it done; but why not just deal with it and worry about this once little Kate/Fox Jr is a bit older?

Hide the problem with area rugs for now, and even when the problem is fixed... you still have the rugs to keep everything looking nice.

And you know.... do not exert yourself too much. Stay as relaxed as you can, etc.

Sadly my old standby of 'invite the girls over for a margarita DIY project' isn't really an option here.

If you ever actually get anything done this way, your margaritas aren't strong enough. :)

I think her frame is a bit sleight to handle a floor sander, and honestly, they don't well near walls, corners, etc, and based upon the pictures of her house, she would spend almost as much time doing those parts by hand as the main floor, and because of the differences in speed/weight of the sanders, it increases the chances of marring the wood in ways that would be readily noticable.

What, 5'2" and a tiny bone frame is too small for those things? She could always ask Nitefox to do it, nicely, sweetly, . . .

Put the gun down Fox, really, it was just an innocent suggestion.

I saw one of those things get away from the user... it stopped after breaking 2 studs in the wall at the end of the room. His wife was not impressed.

I got called over to see what needed to be done to fix the suddenly added work. It was all I could do not to laugh.

So... rent a floor sander, and have a video camera ready?
